劇情

在英國德文郡的一個鄉村，少年阿爾伯特馴服了一匹名叫喬伊（ Joey）的馬。隨著第一次世界大戰的爆發，阿爾伯特的父親把喬伊賣給了英國騎兵隊並被運到了法國。喬伊作為「雷霆战驹 」先後在英國和德國的軍隊中服役，它不僅在戰火中受傷，還時刻面臨著持續不斷的死亡、疾病和恐懼的威脅。而阿爾伯特也一直試圖尋找喬伊想把它帶回家 [6]。
