Academic Mission / VisionLearning Goals

• Geography- Designed for students for the one semseter course, I seek to introduce the scope and excitement of human geography and its relevance to their daily lives and roles as informed citizens. I take seriously the honor to convey the richness and breadth of human geography but also to give insight into the nature and intellectual challenges of the field of geography itself.

• United States History- Developing skills that solidify the ability to distinguish between facts and opinions and recognize bias. I develop the numerous deciphering skills required in such a complex world of often fragemented information. This is a highly desirable trait in the competitive world our students will be aligning with. The evaluation of credibility will be the future mark of the voraciously sought employee/entrepenuer/student/citizen.

• Activities and Leadership- Stategically and emphatically building, nuturing, cultivating philanthropic relationships with surrounding communities. The best method to create a self-actualized human being is through service. MHS Leadership is committed to creating a culture of service through various methods both on and off campus.
