Using our own thermoforming and flexoprinting machines we are
able to implementeven complex designs. Glossy or mat spot painting,
metalized and demetalized films,paper and paper-like surfaces or
double-printing according to samples – from printimage consulting
to fully automatic production of printing plates or consistent
colourmanagement, we are able to concentrate all activities under
the roof of the WipakGroup. For our customers, this ensures

THERMOFORMING,SEMI-RIGID ANDFLEXIBLE FILMS
Wipak’s composite films areexactly adapted to the productto be
packaged and they can beequipped with a barrier layer ifrequired.
Our polyester-basedfilms such as Multipet are ideallysuited for
semi-rigid packageswith a high gas barrier. They canbe provided as
thermoformingrolls.The basis for flexible films is acomposite made
of polyamide/polyolefin which can be com-bined with an outer layer
of poly-propylene if required.
PREPACK:PVDC-FREE
For freshly packaged cheeseproducts, Wipak has developedfilms
that are PVDC-free. Theyconsist, amongst others, of PETcomposite
films or paper com-posites. Thanks to an EVOHbarrier, these films
are suitablefor gassing, protecting ideal pro-tection against
oxygen.
LIDDING FILMS/FLOWPACK FILMS
Our lidding films protect thequality and freshness of
foodproducts which are packagedunder vacuum or under a modi-fied
atmosphere (MAP). Antifog,EVOH barrier or reclosing system– the
type of film to be used de-pends on the individual require-ment
profile. Polypropylene,polyamid, polester or paper com-posites are
used according to thespecific criteria of each applica-tion.

WRAPPINGFILMS
Our Walothen peelable film hasbeen developed especially
forwrapping processed cheese sli-ces. The one-side peelable
poly-propylene film is available witha strength of 18, 20, or 25
µm.Thanks to this low gauge, thisfilm helps to reduce handlingand
processing costs.
RECLOSABLEFILMS
Wipak has a broad range of re-closable packages. One exampleis
the booklet closure: two pack-age halves are thermoformedwith
different depths, with onehalf being put over the tray asa lid.
Multipet topforming: twopolyester trays are pressed intoeach other
and sealed hermeti-cally. The principle of the Repaksystem consists
of an adhesivelayer in the tray film and a seal-ing layer with
migration barrier.
TEAR TAPES
Walotape tear tapes are custom-made to meet our customer’sor
technical requirements, usingmachine-direction or biaxiallyoriented
polypropylene, poly-ester, cellophane or variouslaminates (e.g.
aluminium).
