CHEER ATHLETICS | The Best of the Best

Intro
Cheer Athletics is widely regarded as the strongest, most successful athletic program of its type in the world. For 24 years, CA has helped build healthy, strong, and confident athletes. Athletes learn about sportsmanship, working together towards goals, and striving to win. The teamwork athletes gain from our program is a valuable lifelong lesson.
Team Placements
Team placement sessions are low-stress workouts. During the workouts, athletes show skills they have already devel-oped and demonstrate potential to learn new skills. Athletes are given numerous opportunities to show skills over multiple days. After the final session of placements, the staff assembles rosters for the upcoming season. Teams are selected that each have the best possible chance of a successful competitive season. After rosters are set, athletes (or parents) are contacted by phone to let them know the results of tryouts. We offer multiple evaluation sessions. We strongly prefer athletes attend both days within the session selected. If you wish to be considered for a flyer position on a team, you need to additionally attend one of the flyer tryouts.
Practices / Attendance
All teams will have a set two days a week schedule. Typical-ly, one practice will be held during the week and the other practice will be a two hour time on Sunday. Practice times usually remain consistent throughout the season and are only changed under special circumstances. (Some facilities may adjust schedules during the summer months to 2 weekday practices, returning to regular schedule in Fall.)
During important times of the season, additional practices may be scheduled. These practices are typically scheduled up to two weeks in advance and all athletes are expected to attend.

Cheer Athletics helps push athletes to be the best version of themselves. Athletes learn the “CA Way” of competitive cheerleading, but they will also be given lifelong skills that will help them throughout their lives. The progress our athletes see in positive and productive surroundings can be amazing. A pat on the back, a high five, and positive reinforcement can go a long way.
Cost / Tuition
Competitive cheer, while not as costly as some youth activi-ties, can still be expensive. Before considering this or any program, please consider the financial commitment involved. Cheer Athletics has the finest staff and the most state-of-the-art facilities in our sport. As a result, our fees are higher than many programs. However, factoring entry fees, summer activities, booster club, and other expenses that are typically charged separately at many other gyms, you may end up spending more at some other programs. Although others may advertise lower rates, CA’s overall value per dollar is highly competitive. We have a comprehensive monthly price that covers most of the expenses throughout the year. During the 2018-19 season, there will be 12 monthly charges beginning June 2018 through May 2019. The balance of the first month’s tuition will be due immediately after tryouts are completed. For the remaining months, tuition is payable on the 1st of each month. (July tuition due on July 1, etc.) This monthly fee covers tuition and most other expenses and does not fluctuate from month-to-month. Tuition does not change based on number of practices in any particular month. Costs may vary depending on location - please see tuition listing for your facility. The vast majority of athletes attending evaluations will be selected for a team. If CA is not able to find a placement for an athlete, 100% of the tryout fee will be credited back. If an athlete chooses to decline a roster spot prior to June 15, the initial tuition month will be credited back.

These are the suggested tumbling skills for each level. We do look at athletes’ potential and their overall abilities (stunting, jumps, etc) but nearly every athlete will have all of the appropriate skills for their level and some of the advanced skills. They will be able to preform them with consistency and with good technique.
