You may be asking? No, it’s Tuesday! Due to the majority of the school being gone for a field trip on Wednesday, and Fall Break Thursday and Friday, we are publishing an abbreviated Chatter early this week. We pray you have a restful Fall Break, and we’ll return to our regularly scheduled Wednesday Chatter next week. FLC&S 90 TH ANNIVERSARY MERCHANDISE: We are taking orders for the 90 th anniversary video for $10; this is the same video that was playing during the lunch in the gym on Sunday. We also have 90 th anniversary Christmas ornaments on sale in the office for $8 each. BLAKE SHEPARD FUNDRAISER: We are hosting a Baked Potato Fundraiser here on Friday - October 23 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is a half day of school because of Report Card Conferences, so lunch will not be served, but we ask that you consider purchasing lunch and/or supper to eat here or to go. All of the proceeds will go to help the Shepard Family with expenses following the week of hospitalization and then loss of life of Blake. His brother Kyle graduated from here a year ago. Please pray for Shepard family. Tickets are available in the school office for $8. BLAKE SHEPARD FUNDRAISER HELP NEEDED: We need help with washing potatoes for an hour or two between 2:00 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22; we need people to bake and bring in cookies, and we need people to assist in serving for 1-2 hour shifts on Friday between 10:30 7:00 p.m. A sign-up sheet is available in the school office. Based on the initial Facebook numbers, we have the potential to really help out the Shepard family, but we are going to need lots of volunteers to do it. Your help is needed appreciated! FIRST LUTHERAN SCHOOL CARDINAL CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT: Are you a golfer and are looking for a fun opportunity to help First Lutheran? Maybe you're not a golfer, but would still like to support our students! You don’t golf; though want to be part of an amazing day? If any of these opportunities appeal to you, we have the event coming up! The second Cardinal Classic golf tournament will be held on Sunday, October 25, at Wentz Golf Course. All money raised will benefit the FLS technology and educational programs. We began the technology upgrade last time; we need to finish now. Interested in participating in the 4 person scramble? Registration forms are available in the office. You may sign up a team, or you may sign up as an individual. Do you want to support the school through a sponsorship? A sponsor form is also available in the office so you can choose your level of giving. Remember, all levels of hole sponsorship are tax deductible! Need a little more incentive to get involved? For every $100 sponsor/donation that you bring to the office, your name will be placed in a drawing to win one of two prizes: a $250 credit and/or a $125 credit to your child’s First Lutheran School account! Let's get out, play a little golf, and help raise money for our students. If you have any questions, please contact our school office. THE GREAT SHAKE OUT! The Great Shake Out happens on 10/20 at 10:20; it is the World’s Largest Earthquake Drill. Oklahoma has the most recorded earthquakes in the United States. In an effort to be prepared, we are going to practice what to do during an earthquake. We will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On”. Drop to the ground, Take Cover by getting under a sturdy desk or table, and Hold On to it until the shaking stops. PTL MEETING: Mark your calendars as there is a change! We will be meeting Tuesday the 20th at 6:00 p.m., 309 N. 6 th , Steve & Timilyn Crank's home. *Following the meeting will be a short "recap" of this year's Family Fun Night.

The history lesson and reminiscing was GREAT. The entertainment by Alex Lin and the Kindergarten thru 5th grade students was WONDERFUL. May the Lord continue to bless our Church and School for at least another 90 years.

will start with a clean slate for the rest of the semester! Let's make it the best we can! 7th Grade is studying the world religions and will be completing research and creating a presentation in class. 8th grade is exploring the squishy, slimy, not necessarily simply, world of invertebrates. 6th grade did some kinesthetic bonding/learning last week and will do one more hands on activity this week, finish

up in the book, and then test after fall break when we have finished reviewing.
