STAGE 3 REPORT

Excursion - The camp is on next week - from Wednesday 24th October to Friday 26th October. The bus

will depart Wednesday at 8am sharp. Students should ensure they are at the school no later than 7.45am.

Mrs Goldie will be waiting under the Stage 3 Cola to collect all medicines.

The bus will arrive back at school Friday by 3.10pm so students can travel home by their normal means of

transportation. ANY CHANGES TO THIS WILL BE BROADCAST OVER RADIO 2RE AND MAX FM.

Please only pack what is on the list as there are restrictions on the amount and size of luggage to be tak-

en. Students are not to bring mobile phones, aerosol cans, thongs/ugg boots/slippers, ipods/MP3 players

etc, computer/video games, lollies/chewing gum, jewellery or anything valuable.

In case of emergencies, parents/caregivers can contact students on 02 4970 5014 from 8.30am to

4.30pm. Alternatively you can contact the school. If students are found not complying with either the

camp or school rules repeatedly, parents/caregivers will be contacted and required to take their child

home.

Students not attending the excursion will be put into a class and have normal lessons with Mrs Gray.

Miss Mills - Stage 3 teacher & Camp Coordinator

Orientation - Yesterday students from Chatham High School visited our school to speak to our Year 6 stu-

dents about orientation and inform them about Year 7 for next year.

Assessments - Over the next few weeks, we will be finishing off some assessments which will be reflected

in yearly reports. These assessments are based on work covered all year.

Captain/Vice Captain Speeches - Our school will be having the Captain/Prefect Speeches for 2013 next

Monday and Tuesday at 11.45am (straight after recess). On Monday, we will hear speeches from Caleb

Corbett, Natasha Waller, Kurt Fowles, Gabrielle Armstrong, Zac Sheldon, Jakeal Anderson and Ashlee An-

derson. We will then hear Ceara Callaghan, Maddi Littlejohns, Paige Harris, Tyron Campbell, Suchanan

Sriwongwan and Jesse Doran on Tuesday.

The successful students will be announced at our Presen-

tation Day Assembly. There will also be a big change next

year. Instead of having 2 captains and 5 prefects, we will

be having 2 captains and 2 vice captains.

It is a Department of Education requirement that any

absence from school is explained. This can be done in

writing to the class teacher or by phone to the school

office on 6551 1081. If your child is absent for 2 or

more consecutive days and the school has not been

notified, the Department of Education also require us

to contact the parent/caregiver of the absent student

for an explanation.

KINDER “CAN DRIVE”

STUDENT ABSENCES

PREMIERS SPELLING BEE

HELP KINDERS HELP OTHERS!!

As part of our HSIE unit “Meeting Needs”, Kindergarten

students have been discussing the basic requirements

that we need to survive. One of these things is food. Dur-

ing our discussion we thought about the people who

didn’t have enough food and the students wanted to

help.

Our solution, “A CAN DRIVE!“. We would like you to dig

deep into your food cupboard and bring in any cans that

you don’t need. Ask your friends and family to do the

same.

All cans collected will be donated to the Salvation Army

to be distributed amongst the needy in our community.

PLEASE BRING YOUR CANS TO MRS PITT’S CLASSROOM

BY FRIDAY WEEK 6 (FRIDAY 16TH NOVEMBER)
