• They started to plan the many attacks on high Union government officials, such as Abraham Lincoln (24).

• The Union, lead by Ulysses S. Grant defeated the Confederates (2).

• They defeated the Union in Richmond Virginia, which was the capital of the Confederates (2).

• At approximately 12:30 pm John Wilkes Booth arrived at Ford’s theater (11).

• He started to plan out what he will do execute the assassination (11).

• Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at 10:10 pm (39).

• He was shot by John Wilkes Booth with a derringer pistol while watching a play with his family (39).

• Booth and Herold left Mudd’s house after staying there for only a short period of time (112).

• They left because Mudd thought it was to dangerous at his place and he also didn’t want to get caught (112).

• Booth goes to Cox next to hide out until he can get to the South where he will be more safe (116).

• Cox tells him to wait in the pine thicket near his house (116).

• So they camp out, no noise or light to draw attention to themselves until the mysterious man arrives (116).

• Atzerdot is arrested by soldiers while searching a house (141).

• He was found lying in bed and didn’t even attempt to run away or fight back (141).

• The man arrives after after four day wait to take Booth and Herold across the river (144).

• So they take the boat and start paddling to the South (144).

• But, they realize that they have only gone further up into Maryland putting them farther away from their goal to reach in the South (145).

• Booth was hiding out in Garretts until he had a chance to takes his boat back down to the South (155).

• Meanwhile, Herold was captured leaving Booth the only one of left to capture (155).

• Booth was found by many soldiers (170).

• He fought of the first soldiers and tried to run, but he knew he only had a few seconds left in his life (170).

• Andrew Johnson, the president of the United States of America released Booth’s body (191).

• He released it to Booth’s brother, Edwin, who buried him in Baltimore Maryland (191).
