An aphorism from the Aitareya Upanishad, meaning “Go on”, it sums up the essence of all that we need to survive in the global village. It inspires us to go on a never ending journey to seek what life has to offer. Akin to bees which go in the search for nectar, birds which fly for the best fruits and the sun that doesn't stop shining, we too must go on an indefinite search. Considering that there is a dire need to buck up for our fraternity to liberate itself from shackles that retard socio-economic growth, we chose this as our motto for the conference.Change can be exhilarating and exciting. Sometimes, it can be frustrating and demoralising. And there are times when it can be scary and terrifying. But the learning that comes from change is always beneficial for us in ways that can't be enumerated. The time has come to walk beyond in the quest for answers that lead to the attainment of fundamental rights and the welfare of the downtrodden. We must act proactively as an extended arm of the law enforcing agencies in achieving the targeted output. In order to see this stand fructified, there must be a shift of focus in our professional role towards adaptability and accountability.As we step into a new era of socio-economic growth, reforms to ensure the same have started taking shape. The government keeps belting out new legislations, and as the charioteers of the economic vehicle, we have to steer it forward and keep it stable. Sans skills, we will only end up ruining the future of our nation, causing a retrogressive scene. It is through a steady upgrading of our acumen and finesse, that we can uphold the flag of development. Keeping our brain open and receptive of knowledge, our eyes looking out for newer improvements, our ears alert to the general public's issues is the best way to equip ourselves to fight ordeals of the financial situation.Together, hoping that we can put our minds in bringing about a change that results in a revolutionizing effect on our nation and ensures that it keeps marching on, on behalf of the Bhubaneswar branch of the ICAI, I invite
