CHAPTER 3 INTEGRATION We made a start in Grade 11 on Integration where we treated Anti-differentiation as the reverse of differentiation. We used rectangles or trapesiums to get an estimate of the area bounded by a curve and another boundary. Then found the limit as the no of rectangles/ trapesiums tends to infinity to get a more accurate approximation. [Riemann Sum formula]. We then moved onto the definite integral. CHAPTER 3 INTEGRATION

We made a start in Grade 11 on Integration where we treated Anti-differentiation as the reverse of

differentiation.

We used rectangles or trapesiums to get an estimate of the area bounded by a curve and another

boundary. Then found the limit as the no of rectangles/ trapesiums tends to infinity to get a more accurate

approximation. [Riemann Sum formula].

We then moved onto the definite integral.

Gr12: Using the definite integral to find areas of more complex problems
