The lines of dresses included such variations as:
• Empire waistlines (around 1960)
• A-Line shapes with dresses flaring slightly from neck to hem.
• Dresses falling straight from a yoke at the shoulder.
• Dresses unfitted through the torso and with a flounce joint to the hem of the dress at the knee.
