People in Ur worshipped Moon god:

"This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Long ago your forefathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the River and worshiped other gods. But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the River and led him throughout Canaan... '" (Josh 24:2-3)

God called Abram:

… The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. 'Leave your country and your people,' God said, 'and go to the land I will show you.‘ So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. (Acts 7:2-4)

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. (Heb 11:8)

God called Abram again:

Terah … died in Haran.

The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father‘s household and go to the land I will show you.

I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran. (Gen 11:32-12:4)

When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

One who had escaped came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew.

Now Abram was living near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshcol and Aner, all of whom were allied with Abram.

During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying,

"Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand."

Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Give your burden to Lord & leave it there with Him.

Do not afraid of Tomorrow, because God is already there.

If you have nothing else besides God, then you will know God is all you need.

Do not tell God how big is your problem, just leave it to Him. Do tell your problem how great is your God.

Page 19: Chapter 12

Page 20: Chapter 12

But without faith it is impossible to please Him:

for he that cometh to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
