Located in "Historic Lincoln County, the Chapel can seat up to 50 Guests. There is a Reception Hall next to the Chapel. We also have a large outside wedding venue, which we call the ArborStage. It is a great environment for 50 to 200 + guests and comes with access to a covered open-air dining facility for receptions. Ample parking for all guests is another plus for this lovely country setting.

It's been in every girl's dream to have a great wedding someday. And I know all of them have the “Perfect Wedding” planned out. But putting your dreams into reality could sometimes pose some problems and you end up with the next best thing. If you won't settle for the next best thing, then you might want to choose having a small yet divine wedding.

Having a small wedding doesn't mean that it should be simple and not be the dream wedding you want to have. Unless you really dream of having a big and very expensive wedding then this just won't satisfy you. I think it's more practical now to just hold a small yet chic wedding. Most famous stars choose to have a very intimate and simple wedding. Just having the close family members of both parties and a few close friends are just invited. The important thing is that you're sharing the most important day of your life to the persons that are also dear to you. Just have the people who really matter. Small weddings could be practical because you'll save a lot of money. I know that most people are willing to spend money just to have that perfect wedding. But having a perfect wedding doesn't mean it would cost you. And planning out the wedding would be easier compared with having a large wedding. Besides, if you dreamt of having a wedding out of town, then keeping your guest list short would be to your advantage also. And you could also have a wide variety of after the wedding party because of your small number of guests. You can spend the money you'll be saving from the wedding to your honeymoon and enjoy your new life together.

There are some down sides on having a small wedding also. It's not all good like everything else. It got some catch to it. First thing is that if you belong to a large family then you have to decide who gets invited and who doesn't. Then you'll be in an awkward state after the wedding when a certain relative learned about it and ask why they didn't get invited. Having a small wedding would also mean that you really have to have a hands-on to every detail of the event. Although you also will have to do these on all forms of weddings yet it could cause some problems. Having a small wedding could also mean that there will be fewer gifts which the couple would receive. But you'll still have the last say on what or how you want your wedding to be. After all, this is your wedding, right? This would only guide you to make the right decision. Having a small wedding have its own advantages and disadvantages also so know what you really want and let the rest be taken cared of. It's a battle of intimacy and extravagance, practicality and luxury. The most important thing is that the most important event of your life would be worth remembering.

Recently I stopped in to visit a friend who runs a wedding cake supply store - a store that caters to pastry chefs, caterers, and hobbyists. During the course of the conversation she told me something that surprised me at the time, though in hindsight it shouldn't have: She said that this year she is being inundated with brides asking about how they might be able to bake the wedding cake themselves.

After all, said one, isn't it just flour, eggs, and sugar? Well, yes... and definitely not. A wedding cake is made up of those things, but on that level a Picasso is just oil and canvas. It is not the components that make up a masterpiece, it is the craftsmanship of the artisan.

That said, it is possible for a bridal party to create their own DIY wedding cakes “in-house”, there by saving money, if they tread carefully and follow a few easy guidelines:

Use a Cake MixSurprised? Don't be. Not every scratch recipe can be doubled, tripled, or quadrupled and even a small wedding cake takes multiple recipes per layer. Cake mixes can be multiplied. The exception to this is the situation where the bride wants an eight inch cake on every table as the centerpiece and chooses to use something else as the wedding reception design focal point. Moreover, cake mixes survive because they have come upon a formula that makes the cake reliable - and the last few days before the wedding is not the time to discover something doesn't work.

Use Buttercream IcingThe pastry chefs that I know assure me that Buttercream is far easier to work with than any other form of icing out there.

Use a Cake StandEvery other method of presentation requires something to be inserted through the bottom layers of the cake to provide stability. With a cake stand all one has to do is to place the wedding cake tier on the appropriate plate and slip it into place on the stand. Thus, no significant room for error.Use Fresh Fruit, Flowers, Crystal Cake Jewelry, or? for Cake Decorations: Those hand sculpted sugar lilies on cousin Jen's wedding cake were gorgeous, but unless the budget allows the hiring of a craftsman the chances of getting enough that look good for a wedding cake are not good. Instead ice the cake smooth and then ask the florist to adorn the cake with flowers, or pile each of the layers with the fresh fruit of the season, or accent the cake with a display of items (clean of course) that represent the couple.

Take a Cake Decorating ClassMore than one, if time allows. Taking the time to take a class through a local craft store, will do more than provide instruction on how to decorate a cake - though even learning the trick to smooth icing is worth the cost - it guides the individual in the purchase of the tools that they will need. This will save far more time and frustration than most imagine.

Of course, consider the option carefully before committing. Do-it-yourself wedding cakes might sound doable but remember, the cake has to be made in the last couple days before the wedding when there is little time for error or finding a bakery if things go wrong. Still, there is something quite personal and even a little bit romantic about a wedding that has been staged by the bride, groom and all of their loved ones. Whether it is a do-it-yourself Aunt making the wedding cake or a close friend the labor of love is intensely beautiful.

You're getting married and already you are feeling excited, although perhaps a little over-whelmed. You get into that merry-go-round of planning and rehearsals and who to invite, and who not to invite and which invitation to use and when to send it, and you begin to wonder why you didn't just run away to Timbuktu and get married there instead! But you chose to get married in front of friends and family because these people are the ones who you love and care for and who you want to share your special day with. You want them to see you as you make your vows. You want these witnesses to be there to support you in your marriage, both now and in the future.

I have been to a lot of weddings during the last year, and whilst each was very different, all were very special and I felt privileged to be there with the bridge and groom. One wedding was more formal, an outdoor wedding in the Napa Valley. The next was informal and between a couple who had already been together for 15 years. This one was in the UK. The next was in Prague, in the Town Hall. And the most recent was in Pasadena, outdoors and very unique and modern in the type of ceremony chosen.

No matter what type of wedding you choose, or where you make your vows, there is the inevitable speech to be made. Logically you know that this should not be a burden; it should be a joyous experience, including "thank-yous" to friends and family, and fun anecdotes and warm feelings. But so many wedding day speeches are marred for the maker of them by nerves and apprehension. These nerves are not wanted; they just appear, springing unbidden into the speech givers reality. Sometimes there is just a small sensation of worry in the pit of your stomach; sometimes it is so great you feel physically sick.

When thinking about your wedding speech lots of different things can run through your mind, sometimes as pictures or even movies. You see yourself stumbling over your words, or stalling, or blushing, or shaking...and the more you worry about it the more horrific these movies can become.

STOP! Stop right there. There is no need to have these movies running riot in your mind. You can take control of your thoughts and visualizations with a little bit of guidance. Just take a deep breath and relax. That's a great starting point. Whenever you feel anxious, you cannot think straight. That's a known fact. You have to learn to change state and this is easy to do if you learn to use hypnosis.
