1. Open PowerPoint. Use the one slide that is there for the title page. Click on the

Design tab.

2. Click on the arrow pointing down in the bottom right corner of the Design Tab.

Select a design that you like for the background.

3. Type the book title and the author’s name where it says “Click to add title.”

Where it says “Click to add subtitle” add “Book Trailer By First Name Last Initial.”

4. Go to the Microsoft button. Select Save As and choose Other Formats.

5. Title the slide book cover. Underneath that is a drop down menu for “Save as

Type” scroll down until you see JPEG File Interchange Format. Select it.

6. Click on My Computer and go to your project folder. Then click Save.

7. Since it has only one slide you can select “Every Slide” or “Current Slide Only”.

8. Click Ok.

9. Close PowerPoint.

10. Save the PowerPoint slide in case changes need to be made.

11. Save the PowerPoint presentation in the same folder as the JPEG.

12. When you open the folder you will see two identical items but one will be

labeled Slide 1. Slide 1 will be the JPEG that you will use in your project.
