Cities use Change by Us a platform for
community-based organizations to promote
organize and raise funds for their projects.
CHANGE FROM THE GROUND UP
Change by Us is, at its heart, a tool for any
community group to do what they do best
organize. The platform oers a dashboard
of tools for groups to communicate, plan
meetings and events, post to-do lists, andshare specic needs.
The platform also
centralizes communications, instantly giving
groups a website space as well as a dashboard
of coordination tools.
SMART TECHNOLOGY
The platform will lter out any content
that is oensive, illegal or destructive to a
community, to ensure that the site is palatable
for city participation. CBU is open source,
built on Flask and hosted at Rackspace.
A website that promises to
directly connect residents andcity government with the aim
of

homepage creates an opportunity to amplify
the citys goals by supporting projects, and
messaging about the city connections to
community based projects.
SELF-SUFFICIENT SOLUTION
As a national platform, Change by Us is
centrally hosted and maintained, and no
technical oversight is required. Cities are
provided with a username and password
for their blog, and will have administrative
access to be able to post and connect with
individual projects. There is no technical
oversight coordination or knowledge needed.
The whole idea behind Change by Us is that any one of our citys
