Observation Tower
The observation tower and wetland boardwalk will provide endless opportunities for recreational activities and educational learning.
The tower will be designed to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding natural beauty and unique ecosystem, and provide an alternative perspective from a higher vantage point above the wetland, including peaceful views up Keuka Lake.

Pedestrian Bridge
Option A • Aluminum Bridge with a cambered
truss
• Additional clearance under the
bridge with lower approaches
• Requires larger abutments to
handle the lateral thrust from the
structure
• May require additional permits to
provide a solid structure within the
wetlands
34 Stakeholder Meeting
Waterfront Access and Infrastructure Improvements May 23, 2019
Pedestrian Bridge
Option B • Tied Arch Bridge with slight camber
• Camber provides some additional
clearance under the bridge.
• Similar cost as the Aluminum bridge
but the abutments costs will
decrease.
• Does not produce as much lateral
thrust and therefore will reduces the
structure size for the abutment within
the wetland area.
• Painted Steel Requires Maintenance
• Structure below the bridge reduces
clearance
35 Stakeholder Meeting
Waterfront Access and Infrastructure Improvements May 23, 2019
Pedestrian Bridge
Option C • Weathering steel Pratt truss bridge
with flat deck
• Length and height of the approach
will be minimal
• Least expensive option
• Little clearance under bridge
