were handed out throughout the day.

Lori Porter Co-Founder and CEO of the National Association of Healthcare Assistants met

The NLT served funnel cakes and popcorn (on different days) to Veterans and staff to as

an appreciation event.

NAHCA LT will be sponsoring a “Think pink” event to promote skin integrity. That will be

October 17th. Anyone who wears pink that day can wear jeans and have their name put in

a drawing for a door prize.

Dear Veterans, Family Members and Friends,

I cannot believe fall is upon us once again even though it is

76 degrees outside as I’m writing this letter! Thank you so

much for giving the staff and myself the opportunity to care

and serve you and your family. We are so blessed to have

the best staff around, I’d gladly put our staff up against any

staff in the state and I sure you we would come out on top!

Having such a wonderful staff not only raises the bar and

our expectations, but it motivates our staff and me to con-

stantly strive to do better. I say to people all the time we are

not perfect however working as One Team, with One Goal,

which is Serving Veterans we will overcome any obstacle,

rising to the occasion, and ultimately providing wonderful

care and services to America’s Heroes!

Moreover, our staff would not always be able to accomplish

our goals without the support of all of you, our community

and our Assistance League whose sole purpose is to raise

donations which are used to enhance the quality of life of the

Veterans we serve. We sincerely appreciate your time, talents

and donations as it will touch every Veteran in one way or

another. Thank you for your time and support!

With the holiday season just around the corner, I like to

remind you, families and friends that we are not allowed

to receive gifts individually. Because we have such an awe-

some staff, people want to thank us for our service by giving

gifts and though it’s greatly appreciated, another way to

do this is to donate to the Assistance League’s “Employee

Fund”. This fund is monitored by the Assistance League

and used for employee appreciation events throughout the

year. If you have any questions regarding this please call

Renee King, Assistant Administrator or Barbara Caldwell,

Supervisor of Volunteer Services and they will assist you.

Please have a wonderful and safe holiday season and we

look forward to seeing you on your next visit. As always,

it is my privilege and honor to serve those who have served!

I am blessed with a staff that believes in One Team, One

Goal, Serving Veterans. Thank you to all who have served

our country and those men and women currently serving.

Have a blessed holiday and take care!

Respectfully,

Brad Haggard, Administrator
