Flexible Roller Chain Couplings are composed of a double strand roller chain and two sprockets. Roller chain couplings have atorque capacity in excess of the torque normally transmitted by shafting which falls within the coupling bore range. Select thesmallest coupling which will accommodate both shafts. For a reversing operation, shock or pulsating loads, or other severeoperating conditions, select the next larger coupling size.
A cover should be used to assure maximum service life, particularly if the coupling operates at high speeds or under moist orabrasive conditions. For proper lubrication, fill the space between the cover and the coupling with soft to medium consistencybearing grease.
Tsubaki coupling chains feature press fit center-link plates and single pin connectors.

* Maximum bore suggested with standard keyway.** Minimum clearance required to remove the coupling half by using the screws as jack screws.
Notes:TLH type “Taper-Lock” style bushing installs from the hub side of the flange.TLF type “Taper-Lock” style bushing installs from the face side.
* Space required to tighten bushing with shortened hex key.Space is also required to loosen screws to permit the removal of the hub by the puller.
** Space required to loosen bushing with shortened hex key using screws as jack screws. No puller is required.
