One of the highly affected areas was the province of Rizal. Sun Valley Subdivision in Rizal Province is located on a mountainous area prone to landslides. One of the damages left by Typhoon Ondoy was a landslide that left a 15m-high cavity on one lane of an access road inside the subdivision. Solution After a soil investigation was done, the Owner (PNCDC) accepted the proposed system of Maccaferri—a slope protection system using System Terramesh and Gabi- ons .
