Your Task…In partners, create a list of ten major events that occurred in the world before AD 1500 (use the first 2 chapters of the textbook). Make sure that your completed list is in chronological order.

Each event should consist of the following:

How did the Ice Age expose a land bridge between Asia and the Americas?

When the temperatures were low, great amounts of water froze into glaciers. This caused the ocean level to drop significantly, exposing the land bridge.

Civilization- highly developed society

Theocracy- society that is ruled by religious leaders

Hieroglyphic- form of writing that uses symbols or pictures to represent things, ideas, and sounds
