Certification for the Eurasian Customs Union
CU TR is the new GOST
As from 1992 Russian law came into force making it mandatory that a wide range of products bound for the Russian Federation is tested and certified in accordance with the national GOST standards. With the creation of the Eurasian Customs Union (CU) between founding states Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and members since 2015 Armenia and Kyrgyzstan a new common standard was introduced which is based on “Technical Regulations (TR)” The new CU TR system comprises both Declarations of Conformity (DOC) and Certificates of Conformity (CoC), each with their own conditions. There are several Technical Regulations one may have to comply with, of which the main ones in the industrial field are:
• CU TR 004: LVE • CU TR 010: machinery safety • CU TR 012: EX • CU TR 020: EMC • CU TR 032: Pressure
