CERTIFICATE III IN MAKEUPAlthough Certificate III in Makeup at Clip Joint Education is an entry-level program into the beauty industry, however, you must have completed Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics as a pre-requisite. This course prepares you for designing and applying makeup for creative projects such as photo shoots, fashion aprades, film shoots, formals events and weddings. You will only receive a maximum of 55 Stage 2 credits instead of the potential 80 Stage 2 credits, as some of the competencies will already have been completed in the Certificate II in Retail Cosemtics pre-requisite.

WILL I NEED TO DO SOME WORKPLACE LEARNING AS

PART OF MY VET COURSE?Many VET courses require students to undertake Structured Workplace Learning (SWL). This involves learning opportunities related to your VET course in a real or simulated workplace. These placements provide on-the-job training and mentoring to develop your technical and employability skills. SWL also provides opportunities for on-the-job assessment as part of your VET course. Before participating in workplace learning you will need to complete a workplace learning agreement form, which needs to be signed by your Home School Principal, Care Givers, yourself and the workplace employer.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A NEVO VET COURSE?Step 1 – Read the information in this brochure.

Step 2 – Read the detailed VET Course information for the course/s you are interested in and encourage your caregivers to read this too. This information is available for each course on our website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au) under NEVO – VET Courses.

Step 3 – Download and fill in an Expression of Interest Form from the website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au). This form needs to be forwarded to the VET Coordinator for an interview appointment.

Step 4 – At your interview you will be provided with all the information and an NEVO Enrolment Form. Which needs to be sign by your caregivers, yourself and VET Coordinator. This will then be forwarded to the Host School for approval of acceptance. Selection for entry to NEVO VET Courses will be based on the following principles:

Demonstrate capacity for independent learning and meeting the requirements of the course.

Identified relevant interest and/or experience in the course.

Step 5 – Applicants will be advised of the enrolment outcome term 4.

Step 6 – Applicant may need some further subject counselling at their Home school to ensure that the VET Course is included in their SACE and timetable.

Will I have to pay to participate in a NEVO VET Course?

WILL I NEED TO DO SOME WORKPLACE LEARNING AS

PART OF MY VET COURSE?Many VET courses require students to undertake Structured Workplace Learning (SWL). This involves learning opportunities related to your VET course in a real or simulated workplace. These placements provide on-the-job training and mentoring to develop your technical and employability skills. SWL also provides opportunities for on-the-job assessment as part of your VET course. Before participating in workplace learning you will need to complete a workplace learning agreement form, which needs to be signed by your Home School Principal, Care Givers, yourself and the workplace employer.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A NEVO VET COURSE?Step 1 – Read the information in this brochure.

Step 2 – Read the detailed VET Course information for the course/s you are interested in and encourage your caregivers to read this too. This information is available for each course on our website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au) under NEVO – VET Courses.

Step 3 – Download and fill in an Expression of Interest Form from the website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au). This form needs to be forwarded to the VET Coordinator for an interview appointment.

Step 4 – At your interview you will be provided with all the information and an NEVO Enrolment Form. Which needs to be sign by your caregivers, yourself and VET Coordinator. This will then be forwarded to the Host School for approval of acceptance. Selection for entry to NEVO VET Courses will be based on the following principles:

Demonstrate capacity for independent learning and meeting the requirements of the course.

Identified relevant interest and/or experience in the course.

Step 5 – Applicants will be advised of the enrolment outcome term 4.

Step 6 – Applicant may need some further subject counselling at their Home school to ensure that the VET Course is included in their SACE and timetable.

Will I have to pay to participate in a NEVO VET Course?

WILL I NEED TO DO SOME WORKPLACE LEARNING AS

PART OF MY VET COURSE?Many VET courses require students to undertake Structured Workplace Learning (SWL). This involves learning opportunities related to your VET course in a real or simulated workplace. These placements provide on-the-job training and mentoring to develop your technical and employability skills. SWL also provides opportunities for on-the-job assessment as part of your VET course. Before participating in workplace learning you will need to complete a workplace learning agreement form, which needs to be signed by your Home School Principal, Care Givers, yourself and the workplace employer.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A NEVO VET COURSE?Step 1 – Read the information in this brochure.

Step 2 – Read the detailed VET Course information for the course/s you are interested in and encourage your caregivers to read this too. This information is available for each course on our website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au) under NEVO – VET Courses.

Step 3 – Download and fill in an Expression of Interest Form from the website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au). This form needs to be forwarded to the VET Coordinator for an interview appointment.

Step 4 – At your interview you will be provided with all the information and an NEVO Enrolment Form. Which needs to be sign by your caregivers, yourself and VET Coordinator. This will then be forwarded to the Host School for approval of acceptance. Selection for entry to NEVO VET Courses will be based on the following principles:

Demonstrate capacity for independent learning and meeting the requirements of the course.

Identified relevant interest and/or experience in the course.

Step 5 – Applicants will be advised of the enrolment outcome term 4.

Step 6 – Applicant may need some further subject counselling at their Home school to ensure that the VET Course is included in their SACE and timetable.

Will I have to pay to participate in a NEVO VET Course?

All students will need to speak to your Home School VET Coordinator re costs. Also specific equipment or materials are required to be purchase. Please see detailed VET course information on our website (www.nevo.sa.edu.au) for more detail about these costs.

This course prepares you for designing and applying makeup for creative projects such as photo shoots, fashion aprades, film shoots, formals events and weddings. You will only receive a maximum of 55 Stage 2 credits instead of the potential 80 Stage 2 credits, as some of the competencies will already have been completed in the Certificate II in Retail Cosemtics pre-requisite.
