Lingkup Hak CiptaHak Cipta adalah hak eksklusif pencipta yang timbul secara otomatis berdasarkan prinsip deklaratif setelah suatu ciptaan diwujudkan dalam bentuk nyata tanpa mengurangi pembatasan sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan.

Ketentuan PidanaPasal 113 (1) Setiap Orang yang dengan tanpa hak melakukan pelanggaran hak ekonomi sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 9 ayat (1) huruf i untuk Penggunaan Secara Komersial dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 1 (satu) tahun dan/atau pidana denda paling banyak Rp 100.000.000 (seratus juta rupiah).

(2) Setiap Orang yang dengan tanpa hak dan/atau tanpa izin Pencipta atau pemegang Hak Cipta melakukan pelanggaran hak ekonomi pencipta sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 9 ayat (1) huruf c, huruf d, huruf f, dan/atau huruf h untuk Penggunaan Secara Komersial dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 3 (tiga) tahun dan/atau pidana denda paling banyak Rp500.000.000,00 (lima ratus juta rupiah).

(3) Setiap Orang yang dengan tanpa hak dan/atau tanpa izin Pencipta atau pemegang Hak Cipta melakukan pelanggaran hak ekonomi pencipta sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 9 ayat (l) huruf a, huruf b, huruf e, dan/atau huruf g untuk Penggunaan Secara Komersial dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 4 (empat) tahun dan/ atau pidana denda paling banyak Rp 1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).

(4) Setiap Orang yang memenuhi unsur sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (3) yang dilakukan dalam bentuk pembajakan, dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 10 (sepuluh) tahun dan/atau pidana denda paling banyak Rp.4.000.000.000,00 (empat miliar rupiah).

Find out who you are and the reason of your existence is challenging, beyond of it adjusting yourself also one of the matter.

Discussed about Betawi and woman is like talking about myself, it is a part of me and blood that flowing in my pulse.

Moreover, I am an introvert who who really have a tough time to start a conversation. Doing this project is like overcome my limit, and comfort zone by really meet and talk to new people.

It such a great experience and scary moment at the same time. Also, it is a great honor for me to be able to explore what I am interested in this project; illustration and writing a story.

The time keeps going.

In harmony with the ever-growing human.

And life that continues to move forward.

The journey, which create many stories for an individual.

Quietly will never exist without curiosity.

I have been cursed.

With two sweet curses,

My love for reading and unlimited curiosity.

My curiosity and love for reading are the reasons,

why I am brave enouh to have a dream.

A dream that went too far than it should be.

Beyond from what my parent expected.

Who I am

“Nothing is impossible in this world,

As long as there is curiosity and willingness to try”

New things always excite me.

Whenever I am reading something,

It sorts of like my short escape, from who am I.

Because I am not just a Betawi woman who wanted

to stay at home but a hungry explorer.

And not just a child who demanded to follow

their parents’ dream but a child with infinite dream.

Making new friend is nice.

It’s fulfill your curiosity.

It’s open your mind with what’s called diversity.

It’s help you discover new story, beauty, and possibility.

Interesting Idea

The imagination of a young girl is spaceless,

Like a hungry explorer,

who always need a new place to explore.

I have been dreaming to visit so many places,

To travel and see the world.

Which bring me the idea to be a journalist.

My favorite writers ever said;

“It’s easier not to choose, as if there’s no consequence.

But as you say, choosing is a brave way of life.”

I have a dream, I know what I want. So, start from today,

I declare myself as a future journalist.

And the interesting idea about that I love the most about it;

Grateful and Stubborn

It is on the end of my elementary year.

When I have big argument with my father,

about where I should continue my study.

Despite many of my friend drop their education

on primary level, and community still think,

‘No matter how high a girl’s education, her place is in the kitchen’

I must be grateful that my father always supports me,

to pursue higher education.

But It is common for Betawi people to put their children

in Islamic religious school, since Betawi are identic with Islam.

Perspective and custom unconsciously become a guidance.

That is why my father strongly want me to go to Islamic

religious school. Because he expects his girl

to be a religion teacher.

However, I choose to have different way of education

by going to formal junior high school.

Even though it followed by an argument,

in the end he let me do what I want and

end up in formal school.

even until I am in senior high school,

as I remember being so stubborn about it.

The Reason

Even after finishing my third years in senior high school,

My spirit to be a journalist never on the slightest less desire

than before. Also, my parents’ dream for me.

Above all the reason, my father always told me

“Being a teacher is a blessing in your life. You can share what you have to people, As long as they learn and share what they know from you to other people, your pahala (reward) will never stop.”

Other than that, in Betawi culture being a teacher

It gives you a special place in people eyes.

Because teacher is someone that people look up into

and able to inspire them.

Better Plan

I am a future journalist

My dream is to be a journalist,

A Journalist who able to see,

experience the world

and meet many people.

But as it said,

‘Ridha Allah bergantung pada Ridha Orang Tua’

(God approval depends on parent’s approval)

Even when I did five different tests on university level

to be a journalist, And only one on education major.

It turns out that I am accepted in institute of education.

Is not what I am expected,

But it does not mean a nightmare or a regretful moment.

It is kind of self-awareness on how man able to proposes

However, in the end God is the one who disposes.

And I believe God had a better plan for me.

The Hopes

If I am a teacher, will I be able to go abroad?

A silly question but here I am busy asking

myself about that.

But really,

Will I be able to take my self away

to somewhere in the world?

Because deep on my heart the hope

still remains the same.

But once again,

I believe God had a better plan for me.

Nothing is impossible in this world.

You can find the way even in the hopeless place,

As long as there is curiosity and willingness to try.

Just Beginning

Meet new people

Making new friends

I realized I do it all those things every day in the school,

where I am working.

Even without titled as a journalist,

I can still have those interesting experience.

Until…

What should I say, probably the happiest moment in my life,

The letter is coming.

The letter that said I will have a training camp in Australia.

And finally, the list has been fulfilled;

Meet new people

Making new friends

Discover the world

And Experience it.

And start from that day,

my journey to travel around the world

Have just begins.

A rainbow consists of different color

But deep inside they carry the same material

And when all gather in the sky,

It is so beautiful.

It is like believe that everyone might have the

same dream but might have appears in many forms.

And once you discover and make it work

The rest is just so beautiful

All you want is your first goal,

Your first dream,

As practical as it is,

But sometimes you forgot,

Their essential idea, why you have that dream

And why is special to have it.

And without you realize,

your new dream who practically in different form

might be carry the same idea and just wait you to discover it.

Looking to myself

Could not agree more especially whenever,

I am looking at my self and my big family.

It is beautiful, because it teaches you to be open minded,

tolerant,appreciate the difference,

and what usually people have been forgotten,

respect to each other.

We are Betawi, but we pursue different perspective.

Especially on how woman pursue higher education,

As we influenced with two different culture.

People used to categorize me as ‘Orang Betawi Kota’

as I live around the center of Jakarta.

I realized Betawi Tengah people used to be open and tolerant

toward the migrant, and follow by their perspective;

in education, man and woman are the same.

The same opportunity.

The same rights.

Debate

It is weird, but I am agreed.

We start to change when we ask question

We start to discuss when we debate.

Which one is better, Coffee or Tea?

Who come out first, chicken or egg?

Which one do you prefer, Chocolate or cheese?

Anything worth to be debated

It helps you to have a better understanding on a subject

It is when people challenge their knowledge,

To come out with the truth.

But is it really the truth? No one knows.

Growing up with Agatha Christie’s master piece,

My life is full of cases, debate and truth to be discover.

And debate definitely be my favorite part.

It is interesting to see other people point of view

and how they react to certain thing.

Another Love

I remember when I am asking my father,

Where we belong?

Despite the mixed blood races that flows

in our veins.

He proudly said we are Betawi.

And I am proud of it.

I remembered when my paper got problem,

but it successfully bring me closer

to larger Betawi community.

And actively involved in the Betawi Cultural Institute,

and built the theory of three Betawi community groups.

Getting Closer

Being anthropologist, is be the person, we observe.

It is way more than just getting closer.

But...

Talk in their way.

Life in their way.

My favorite writer ever said;

That is why, human is interesting

We are unique and full of mystery.

Somehow we can still survive even the place,

it is not like what we expected.

I swear if everyone understands and be an anthropologist,

there will be no racist and discrimination.

It able to shows you why we have to respect other people

In the most science way, possible.

Letting Go

Sometimes as a reader,

To have chronological plot is boring.

So, plot twist is needed, to give colors.

It is like letting go my first dream,

it does not mean I am lost.

It does not mean I am give up.

It simply a realization that some dreams destined

to remains as a dream, not the part of the real one.

Cerita Eneng is a journey story book by Zikroh Nafiah,

focusing on the personal story of Betawi women about their

dream despite the culture constraint and how they deal with

reality, either accept the new dreams or keep pursue it.

This project is belonging to Self-Independent Project with

Instructure advising course. She hopes this book will able to give

perspective and inspiration based on this Betawi women story

about dreams and life.
