BRAVERY AND SACRIFICE NYPD HEROES 9/11 & BEYONDWe encourage you to experience and reflect upon the paintings in the exhibit in Memorial Hall created by the Society of Illustrators. The art exhibit visually tells some of the many untold heroic stories of the NYPD during the aftermath of September 11, 2001. The exhibit is presented by the NYPD in collaboration with John Jay College.
ORIGAMI CRANESOrigami Cranes appearing in the film were provided by Ohana Arts Festival and the School of Hawaii as well as by John Jay Alumna Melinda Yam BS ’18. As an annual tradition, John Jay students place these cranes on the memorial sculpture and by the 15th anniversary plaque to underscore the legend that anyone who folds 1,000 cranes is granted a wish for peace.
