About Ceramic Art Regina Heinz

A London based ceramic art practice specialising in luxurious architectural ceramics. Poised between art and design, undulating sculptural “modules” are combined to create unique wall-installations for public spaces and domestic settings alike, introducing an elegant and sophisticated element into architectural spaces. Since its inception in 2012 with the American tile retailer Ann Sacks, the collection has been continually expanded and now comprises hand-painted fresco-like finishes, matte and high-gloss glazes, ceramic transfers for a personalised design, and luxurious gold and platinum surfaces. Flow - Sculptural Form and Painterly Surface

Flow is a collection of sculptural ceramic wall-modules inspired by water, available in sizes 20 x 20 x 5 cm, 20 x 15 x 3 cm, and 20 x 5 x 3 cm. They are made of porcelain and semi-porcelain, hard-wearing and suitable for interior and exterior use. Custom made shapes for special projects are also available. Designs and surfaces are bespoke and each installation is unique. Clients are able to choose from a rich palette of traditional ceramic skills including high-gloss and matte glazes, ceramic transfers, luxurious gold and platinum enamels and subtle hand-painted matte fresco-like finishes. In response to the brief, Regina produces site-specific design proposals, colour samples and visualisations. Final designs, colours and dimensions are carefully chosen in consultation with the client.

A creative and innovative option, these installations and unconventional artworks bring together vibrant ceramic colours, tactile surfaces, durability and artistic design. Fluid forms combined with rich ceramic glazes animate each setting with texture, movement and rippling patterns of light and shadow.

Hand-painted framed wall-sculpture for lift lobby, Cheyne Terrace, London, 210 x 120 cm

The artwork was commissioned by Collett Zarzycki Ltd, a London based multi-disciplinary architectural design practice, for a luxury residential development, located between King's Road and Chelsea Embankment, which was nominated for the prestigious 2014 SBID Awards in the "New Build & Development" category.

Water was the inspiration and starting point for the design. Colour and shape of the undulating modules contrast and enhance the dark interior and introduce reminiscences of rippling patterns, reflections and sunlit water surfaces into the narrow space.

sculptural wall panel for the luxurious living area of a new London residence. After

surrounding environment, Regina designed a composition of subtle brown and beige

colours. The gold accents and gentle flowing patterns were inspired by the luxurious

55 Victoria Street London, 3D feature-wall for foyer, matte and hand-painted glaze, gold enamel,

300 x 200 cm

55 Victoria Street (55VS) is a new residential development in the heart of Victoria. The project was realised by award-winning developer Alchemi Group in collaboration with Stiff + Trevillion Architects, a well-established West London practice. The wall panel was commissioned by Alchemi Group as a site-specific feature wall for the concierge desk. The architect used glazed and unglazed bricks to create an interesting alternation of shiny and matte surfaces on the brick walls. This signature design-feature of the building is perfectly continued and translated by a combination of matte, textured and high-gloss gold elements, which introduce an element of sophistication into the architectural space. https://ceramart.net/portfolio/55vs/
