Capacities - Ceragons radios are upgradeable for capacities of 100 to 622 Mbps, using the same 1U

IDU, supporting 1+0, 2+0, 4+0 (with optional XPIC, Cross Polarization Interference Canceller mechanism),

2+0 East-West, 1+1 HSB, and 1+1 HSB with space or frequency diversity mode. Point-to-point , ring, star,

and cascaded chain topologies are all supported.

Topologies and Configuration s - Each indoor unit (IDU) can host up to two carriers, each delivering

100, 112, 116, 155 or 311 Mbps, optimizing the solution for every network topology and configuration.

The tw o independent, hot-swappable carriers can be used for protection, d iversity or double capacity.

High spectral efficiency is ensured by choosing the same frequency for double the capacity, due to the

usage of both carriers for vertical and horizontal polarizations, implemented by a built-in XPIC mechanism.

East-West configurations for ring and cascaded topologies are also possible using the same method,

whereby one carrier is directed to the east and the other to the west, reducing equipment and resource

requirements in each node, w hich, in turn, increases network efficiency.

FibeAir can seamlessly integrate into any SDH/ SONET, IP and ATM netw ork, w hile support ing a wide

    variety of IP + TDM interfaces, including nxE1/ T1, nxE3/ DS3, nxSTM-1/ OC-3, STM-4/ OC-12, nxFE, and

GigE. This enables network designers to meet growing market needs, including integration of current

and next generation technologies, using the same radio equipment.

Combining spectral efficiency, hardware efficiency, modularity, flexibility and upgradeability in

a single, compact, and cost-effective 1U system, the FibeAir family is a breakthrough in the w ireless

    point-to-point market.

    A p p l i c a t i o n s

    The FibeAirTM

family enables rapid and cost-effective high-capacity connectivity for carriers, both in the

cellular and fixed operator markets, for private networks and enterprises..

Mobile Cellular Infrastructure Ceragons FibeAir product family is an optimal solution for mobile

cellular networks, w hich require higher capacity due to an increase in subscribers, cell sites and data rich

applications. Ceragons built-in ADM reduces the cost and complexity of SDH ring topologies and enables

more efficient network expansion. As an intelligent network element, FibeAir offers a smooth migration

path from existing PDH to SDH/ SONET netw ork functionality and to next generation ATM and IP.

Fixed Networks To bridge the broadband access gap between end-user demands and the core

network infrastructure, Ceragons FibeAir product family offers carriers high-capacity wireless metropolitan

ring and PTP solutions in the core netw ork. Ceragons FibeAir delivers Internet access and integrated

high-speed data, video and voice traffic in a cost-effective manner.

Private Networks and Enterprises The modular FibeAir is ideal for private networks, such as

educational and financial institutions, utility companies, government and corporate campuses, providing

carrier-class voice ATM, IP private netw orks and IP + TDM direct connections.

Ceragon provides state-of-the-art management based on SNMP. Our management app lications are

written in Java code, and enable management functions at both the element and network levels. The

applications run on Windows 98/ 2000/ XP/ NT, UNIX, and Sun Solaris.

CeraViewis Ceragons SNMP-based EMS(Element Management System) that enables the operator

to perform element configuration, RF and SDH performance monitoring, remote diagnostics, alarm

reports and more. CeraView integrates with different NMS(Network Management System) platforms,

such as HP OpenView and SNMPc, to provide more comprehensive system management.

PolyView , Ceragon 's NMS (Network Management System), can be used to update/monitornetwork topology status, provide statistical/ inventory reports, define end-to-end traffic trails,

download software, and configure elements in the network. In addition, it can integrate with

other NMSplatforms, such as HP OpenView, to provide more comprehensive network management.
