Century of SuccessThe National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) has been the only national
trade association for the printing ink industry since it’s founding in 1916. And over the last
100 years, the association has worked tirelessly to improve the knowledge of the printing
ink industry, as well as representing the industry as a whole on a national basis.
Come and celebrate NAPIM’s Century of Success and Our Commitment to the Future.

NELLIE PERRY, Argus DeWittAs the Western World (NA and Europe) continue to take advantage of cost advantaged shale gas to feed ethylene units, there has been a progressive reduction in feed supply to make the monomers and polymers of interest to the adhesive and ink industry. This reduction has changed the trade flows of key monomers and forced producers to diversify their portfolio to ensure supply. This has created a dynamic of substitution based on affordability of end-usemarket segments. This presentation puts in perspective the current feed situation in N. America and how changes in Europe cracking slates have affected the market in the last couple of quarters. It also highlights how this has impacted other end-uses that also rely on these key monomers.

Awards Reception & Dinner
Join us Monday, March 23rd as we recognize the industry’s best at the NAPIM Awards Reception and Black Tie Dinner.
The Ault AwardThe Ault Award traditionally has been the highest award that members of the ink industry can bestow on one of their peers. It was established in memory of L.A. Ault who was an early leader in the industry and a founder of the Ault and Wiborg Company. Each year, nominations are sought from all U.S. and Canadian Ink Manufacturers for submission to a special Awards Committee, which makes the final selection.
The Printing Ink Pioneer AwardThe Printing Ink Pioneer requires twenty-five years of industry service with one or several printing ink companies. Longevity is not sufficient enough to qualify the nominee for a PIP Award. True service to the industry is also required. Which could include work on committees or as an officer of NAPIM or NPIR, service to local ink associations, production clubs, and the like may also be included. Service to allied associations serving the print industry will also be considered, but it must include significant service on allied association committees, conferences or other substantive service, not just membership. Technical contribution is an important consideration, but routine technical service is not enough. Technical contributions are also important and should be real and could be in the area of laboratory, engineering, production or product development. It might include presentation of papers on behalf of the ink industry to prestigious groups of other industries.
The Black Tie Dinner at the Ponte Vedra Ballroom will feature music from KTG.
“When my brothers and I Hang in Florida for our Caddyshack golf Tournament the only band we use is KTG” - Actor Bill Murray
