The day school consists of approximately 16 weeks of instruction. Classes run Monday-Friday starting as early as 6 AM and ending around 5 PM. There will be some evening and weekend classes.

The night school consists of approximately 27 weeks of instruction. Night classes run Monday-Thursday, usually from 6 PM until 11 PM. The class will also meet most Saturdays.

Entry Requirements for BLET AcademyStudents employed by a law enforcement agency will be given priority admission according to the N.C. Administrative Code. All other students will be consid-ered in the order they complete the following criteria:

• Textbooks (list available in NCC Campus Store)• Academy uniform (shirt, pants, boots, cap,

available in NCC Campus Store)• Physical training uniform (t-shirt, shorts, sweat

shirt and sweat pants)

A regional training facility, NCC’s Center for Advanced Law Enforcement Training features state-of-the-art, hands on simulation and training providing students with real world skills to begin their career. NCC’s Basic Law Enforcement Training program is designed to provide the necessary knowledge for employment as an entry-level law enforcement officer.

The Center for Advanced Law Enforcement Training, located in Rocky Mount, NC, includes an indoor eight-lane firing range and VirTra Systems, Inc. simulator used for firearms training through photo and video simulation of real world field scenarios. Classes are taught by qualified instructors with extensive law enforcement field experience.

• Submit a completed Verification of Sponsorship or Verification of Employment form. (available from the Director)

• Submit completed F-1, F-2, F-3.• Submit proof of citizenship.• Submit NCC Personal Data Sheet and Release

Agreement.• Submit certified criminal records from all counties

of residence since age 16.• A completed application packet must be submit-

ted prior to beginning the academy. All forms and application materials are available by contacting the Law Enforcement Training Director.

• Successfully pass a reading comprehension test.
