When an alarm or warning is detected, the controller produces an acoustic signal, at the same time the digital alarm output (AL) activates and the LED of RESET button flashes. This status will remain the same as long as the failure condition continues for a programmable period of time.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The CEM7 controller unit is a device able to control de operation, monitoring and protection of a generating set. The controller unit consists of 2 different modules:

1. The VISUALIZATION module2. The MEASUREMENTS module

VISUALIZATION MODULE Providesinformationaboutthestatusofthedeviceand,atthesametime,allowstheusertointeractwithit.ItconsistsonabacklitdisplayandvariousLEDsformonitoringthestatusofthecontrollerandbuttonsthatallowtheusertocontrol,programandconfigurethefunctionsoftheunit.

MEASUREMENTS MODULE Controlsandmonitorsthecontrolboard.Itislocatedintherearpartofthepanel,inordertoreducethewiringandtoavoidelectromagneticdisturbances.Everysignal,sensorandactuatorisconnectedtothismodule.

TheconnexionbetweenthevisualizationmoduleandthemeasurementsmoduleismadewithaCANcommunicationbus.Thisfeatureallowstheintercommunionofothermodulestothemaincontrollerwithascalabilitywarranty.

START OPTION WHEN MAINS VOLTAGE DROPS (CEM7+CEC7).Thereisanoptiontoconvertageneratingsetwithmanualstartintoanautomaticone,thatworkswhenthemainsvoltagedrops.ThisGen-setwillruninaemergencysituationandprovidesacontinuouspowerwhenthereisnotsupplyfromthemains.

In order to do the change, we must add:

1-Abatterychargertothemanualcontrolpanel.2-Anewswitchingcontrolpanel,madeupbyaswitchingcontroldevice(CEC7)plustheswitchingequipment(i.e.contactors).

TheM&Gsymbolsinthefrontpanelwillonlybeseen“active”,whentheswitchingcontrollerisconnected.Mmainspowersupplycontactorisactive,GGeneratorsetcontactorisactive.

2. MEASUREMENTS MODULEReadings of the electric mains supply:•Phasetoneutralvoltage.•Phasetophasevoltage.•Phaseamperage.•Frequency.•Real,apparentandreactivepowers.•Powerfactorandcosphî.•Instantpower(kwH)andhistoricalpower(day,month,year).Withtheprogrammingtimeroption.

Provides the following engine features information:Engine alarm inputs:•Fuelreserve.•Oilpressure.•Coolanttemperature.•Coolantlevel.•Emergencystop(stopbutton).

Analogic engine inputs:•Fuellevel.•OilPressure.•CoolantTemperature.•Configurableinput(i.e.Oiltemperature).•Batterychargeralternadorvoltage.
