sufferinginanewway.Physicalandemotionalsufferingand

shipwithevil.Sosufferingisnotagoodthing!SinceGodisa
Godoflove,cansufferingreallybefromGod?Maybeitis
God’s“toughlove”forus.�
Idon’tbelievethatsufferingisGod’swillorGod’s
“toughlove”forus.TheGodIhavecometoknowisaGodof
loveandaGodofhealing.LookatJesus!IntheGospelsHeis
constantlyhealingpeoplefromsickness,disabilitiesandsin.
Hewasandis“abouthealing.”Heevendiedsothatsininour
lives(ourworstaf�liction)couldbeforgiven.God’sdesirefor
usis“wellness”and“wholeness.”�
We�suffer,butsufferinghappensinthecourseoflife
andlivingashumanbeings.Itde�initelyhappens!Suffering
comesfrommanydifferentsources(deliberatechoices,acci-
dentalhappenings,humanweakness,mentalstruggles,physi-
calandbodilylimitations,environmentalpoisons&happen-
ings,etc.),butnotfromGod.Soweneedtodobattlewith
sufferingandsicknessinourselvesandinotherpeople’s
� ���Havingandusingdoctors,nurses,confessors,profes-
sionals,fellowbelieversandcaregiversofvariouskindsin
timesofsufferingisthewillofGod.Comfortingthesuffering,

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Prepare for the sacraments of initiation with a small group to join the Catholic church. Call Mary Kral.
Infant Baptism: Parent sessions are required. Infants receive the sacrament during the Eucharistic Celebration every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month.
Other arrangements are possible. Call Mary Kral.
Confirmation: Youth at least 16 years of age or adults seeking to be confirmed, call Sarah Daszczuk.
First Eucharist: Parent/child preparation required. Contact Karen Farrell.
Reconciliation: Saturdays 4:00-4:45 PM or by appointment.
Marriage: Arrangements should be made six months in advance. One of the parties must be a registered parish member and a practicing Catholic.
