Principal Bass Audition Date: Thursday, September 8, 2016 (auditions will begin at 11:00a.m.) Location: Ford Center for Fine Arts Knox College Campus 500 S Prairie Street Galesburg, IL 61401 Application Deadline: August 29, 2016 (deadline for receipt, not postmark) To apply, please email a one-page resume to [email protected] AND mail a $25 refundable deposit to: Lucas Wood, Executive Director Knox-Galesburg Symphony 2 East South Street, K195 Galesburg, IL 61401 Resumes and deposits must be received no later than MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2016 to be considered. Only qualified applicants will be invited to audition. We do not accept CDs, DVDs, or other electronic recordings in lieu of a live audition. All applicants must be able to demonstrate U.S. citizenship or legal eligibility to perform with the Knox-Galesburg Symphony. The Knox-Galesburg Symphony is a non-union, per-service orchestra comprised of a unique mixture of professionals, community musicians, and students. We present four subscription concerts, a family concert, and a summer community concert each season. The compensation for Principal Bass is $70.00 per service (6 services per concert cycle). Area schools are invited to attend and the performances are co-marketed with the Orpheum Theatre’s YES series. These performances are a preview of the Sunday Family Matinee concert.
