 Circuit  Training  –  A  conditioning  class  that  blends  functional  movements  and  TRX®  bands.  Implementing  various  types  of  circuit  training  with  high  intensity  intervals  giving  you  the  ultimate  challenge.  Reduce  stress  and  enhance  your  physical  capabilities  while  improving  body  movement  efficiency,  strengthening  your  core,  and  creating  balance  &  stability.    Workout  Of  the  Day  (WOD)  –  The  U•FIT  Workout  Of  the  Day  (WOD)  is  a  core  strengthening  and  conditioning  program  that  uses  functional  movements  designed  to  prepare  a  person  for  life  contingencies  through  extremely  varied  and  challenging  workouts.  It  improves  cardiorespiratory  endurance,  stamina,  flexibility,  power,  speed,  coordination,  agility,  balance,  and  accuracy.  Participants  perform  multiple,  diverse,  and  randomized  physical  challenges  that  are  always  changing  to  keep  participants  motivated.  Each  day  the  workout  will  test  a  different  part  of  functional  strength  and  conditioning.  New  participants  start  with  “on  boarding”  WODs.

Let others rotate in to use the strength machines by not sitting on equipment or reserving it until you’re ready to use it. No cell phone use while on the strength equipment. Pick-up weights when finishedand wipe down equipment after each use. It’s a small recreational track, so position yourself to allow for the best flow possible - slower users stay tothe outside and faster users to the inside. Avoid standing in the path of othersand traveling more than two abreast.FOR SAFETY SAKE! Wear appropriate clothing and shoes, sandals are not allowed. Beverages in closed containers only (no paper or styrofoam).No dunking or abusing equipment.

BASKETBALLCourts available on a first-come, first-served basis. The east court features half-courtplay Friday nights and weekends. UM-Flint students, faculty and staff seeking full-court play,may participate in Intramural Sports leagues or inquire at the Business Office.

RACQUETBALL / WALLYBALLFive (5) racquetball courts (two can be set up for wallyball) available free of charge duringall open building hours. Rec Center members may reserve one court, for one hour, up toone day in advance. Make court reservations during Business Office hours, at least twohours prior to the requested reservation. If play has not started by 15 minutes past thereservation time, the court is turned over to the next waiting guest. Call (810) 762-3441,for more information or to make a reservation.

TENNISTennis play available on the west gym court from 6-11 a.m. Monday - Saturday mornings.Recreation Center members may make a court reservation by calling the BusinessOffice at (810) 762-3441 during office hours—the last scheduled reservation will be 10 a.m.Please call at least two hours ahead to ensure set up time. If play has not started by 15minutes past the reservation time, the court is turned over to the next waiting guest. Useof the tennis court at other hours of the day, is at the discretion of the building manager.

OPEN REC on gymnasium courts are pre-empted for IM league sports and special events.

Recreation Center members (not including students taking classes, faculty, staff) andDay Pass Users are considered visitors by the University and must park in visitor’s areas.

WEEKDAYS after 8 A.M. & before 5 P.M. Visitor parking is located in the Mill StreetParking Deck. Rec Center members & Day Pass users may park anywhere in the parking deck except in otherwise designated spaces.

BEFORE 8 A.M. & AFTER 5 P.M. weekdays & weekends Visitors may also parkin Lot A (the flat lot adjacent to the Recreation Center) or anywhere in the Mill Street Parking Deck.

UM-Flint Students currently taking classes and Faculty/Staff must park in areas designated for their respective parking permits. UM-Flint Students not currently taking classes must pay for Rec Centermembership and use Visitor parking areas.

Handicapped Parking Anyone with a valid handicapped permit may use any designated handicapped parking space in ANY parking lot or parking deck on theUM-Flint campus at ANY time.
