It Is almost ImpossIble to do
justice to the heritage city o Cebu.
Te rst Philippine city discovered
by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand
Magellan, it was or centuries beore
a southeast Asian trading post, ound
along the trade routes to Borneo,
Indonesia, China and Arabia. And
or centuries ater that momentous
discovery, it was a colonial stronghold
o the Spanish crown.
Few properties can capture this
deep heritage, and do justice to it.
Except perhaps, Te Persimmon. Tis
1.4-hectare themed urban village is setto rise along M. J. Cuenco Avenue in
Mabolo, Cebu City.
Situated within minutes o the
historic citys central business district,
historical sites, places o worship
and academic institutions, Te
Persimmon is designed to be Cebus
ultimate city address.
It is made up o a cluster o
our low-rise condominium and
commercial buildings, all set to rise in
2010. Te commercial strip, expected
to draw a mix o trendy restaurants,
bistros, cas, and other upscale
establishments, is expected to be
open a year earlier.
It will eature generous greenscapes
and a host o amenities: unction
and board rooms, play courts
and swimming pools. Each o the
condominium towers will have aseparate administration and security
oces.
Landscape design is expected to be
unique, exotic and restul. It is being
done by the amous PGAA Creative
Design, designer o the magnicent
the Banyan ree Group in Indonesia,
the Hainan Mandarin, Sutera Harbor
Project in Kota Kinabalu and the
NUC Resort in Sentosa, Singapore.

Te project, named ater the
ornamental mabolo tree, which
fourished along Cebus east coast
beore the onset o modernization,
aims to restore this tree to its ormer
glory. Tus, the property will be
planted generously with mabolo trees,
which attractively bear striking bright
red ruits.
Persimmon is the English name
or the trees classied under the
genus Diospyros, which includes the
Philippine mabolo.
Te project logo, o the tangerine
and crimson hues o the mabolo
ruit and its leaves, is meant to
refect the aims o the developmentitselwhich is to bring a simplied
yet richer liestyle to its vecinos.
Aboitiz Land, the developers,
have opted to call uture buyers
vecinos, which is the Spanish word
or neighbors, because the word aptly
captures the deep Spanish cultural
infuence on this centuries-old city.
