Over the years CEAD N.V. has transformed from a design drafting company to a group of companies active in the

sectors construction, engineering, contracting, consultancy and facility management.

HistoryCEAD N.V. was founded in 1992, under the name Technisch Buro Atlas, as a design drafting company for Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname (SOM). The first projects were “as built drafting services” regarding all oil field piping of Staatsolie in Saramacca and also the design of a new test tank facility for measuring the oil volume from the wells. Some of the oilfields were Catharina Sophia, Broederschap, La Proveyance and Sara Maria. Technisch Buro Atlas was then one of the first local design companies working with AutoCAD.

In 1999, Technisch Buro Atlas established a joint venture with Cadcorp International. In this partnership, Cadcorp was responsible for the execution of Engineering services while Technisch Buro Atlas performed Design Drafting services with SOM as their major client. The two companies executed several projects under the name C.E.A.D. (Cadcorp Engineering Atlas Design). A major project was the design of a treating plant for Staatsolie called TA58, consisting of heaters, piping and 25,000 BBLS oil storage tanks. After the finalization of this project the combination decided to continue as two separate entities.

In 1998 CEAD N.V. joined forces with Phoenix in a consortium to execute projects in the mechanical construction sector. The consortium executed several project such as:• Booster station

• Pipe line Tout Lui Faut to Paranam• Several oil storage tanks• Staatsolie Refinery turnaround• Staatsolie IV oil tanker• TA-58 fire protectionThe consortium also engaged in several projects with a Trinidadian company called Weldfab Ltd.

In 2004 CEAD N.V. decided to continue working on its own providing engineering and construction services. From 2004 till present, CEAD N.V. executed several projects for companies such as MAN Diesel Canada, Child Mechanical Contractors, MNO Vervat B.V. and Marconi/ JDC. Some major projects were:• Installation of four 8.5 MW gensets and one 4 MW genset.• Construction of three pump stations for supply of drinking

water• Rehabilitation of eight 1500 ton bolder barges• Replacement of all runway lighting and electrical cable at

the JAP International Airport.

Where We Are TodayToday, CEAD Group consists of three companies; CEAD Engineering N.V., CEAD Manpower N.V. and CEAD Construction N.V., each providing multi-disciplinary services to clients active in energy, water, mining, oil and gas and (petro) chemical markets.

CEAD Construction N.V. is a construction company focusing on the development, construction and project management and offers a wide variety of specialized industrial services.

Our team is dedicated to delivering quality by ensuring a highly capable labor force and strict supervision policies during execution, while coordinating all aspects from pre-construction through commissioning. Our services include performing Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation construction projects and NDE & Inspection services.

Production operations at CEAD Construction N.V. are divided into two main categories:

• Shop Operations (work conducted at our main Work Shop Facilities)

• Field Operations (work conducted away from our main Work Shop Facilities; this may be at the Customer's facilities or a

desginated work or installation site)

Several support and supervisory systems are in place to facilitate the effective flow and execution of these operations. CEAD

Construction N.V. is also equipped with its own skilled labor group (welders, fitters, etc.), which may vary in size from a fixed

number of 20 member to peaks of 100. CEAD Manpower N.V. maintains a large database of experienced craftsmen and

technicians, all of whom can be contacted and called out at short notice as and when required.
