主席的話 (2019 年 4 月)
在「主席的話」上看到的不再是 Sarah Staniforth 的笑臉，對我和你而言或許都是有待習慣
的。 然而，我很榮幸可以承接自 1950 年以來本會首屆主席 George Stout 的努力，擔任第
19 屆主席一職。Sarah 任職主席期間成績斐然，作為其繼任人，我希望透過我首次的專欄重
溫及細數她過往的總總成就。Sarah 在任的 6 年亦是本會經歷成長與演變的重要階段。在本
會的核心事務上，我們見證了三場分別於香港(2014)、洛杉磯(2016)及都靈(2018)皆圓滿舉辦
的年會。另外，我們的刊物《Studies in Conservation》的出版期數亦得到顯著增長。這些
成果都需歸功於 Sarah 領導有方，然而她的領導才能卻在非核心會務上顯得更為重要。
在 Sarah 任職主席期間，我一直與她緊密合作，其中我特別想提出三點與大家分享。首先是
提升「品牌」知名度的計劃。表面上，這項計劃是為了更新本會的形象，並為修護專業加添一
份現代感。然而，要達至這效果，我們的顧問團隊需要深入地思考兩個問題，「我們是誰」及
「我們的意義」。這亦意味著我們不單需就有關課題反覆深思細想，同時也要接納一些頗具挑
戰性的回饋與意見。最終，整個過程既積極又正面，更成為以下簡述的第二及第三點之賴以成
功的基礎。
第二個亮點始於 2014 年的香港會議，當時享負盛名的北京故宮博物院院長單霽翔博士獲邀就
福布斯獎發表演講。憑藉 Sarah 的領導才能以及她與單院長所建立的融洽關係，國際文物修
護學會培訓中心(IIC-ITCC)得以正式成立。在故宮博物院的慷慨支持下，培訓中心自 2015 年
投入運作以來便一直舉辦課程，為世界各地新晉及中級修復人員提供培訓機會。這方面的工作
與本會多項使命如出一轍，包括匯聚世界各地修復專才，以及為同業提供培訓、支援和肯定追
求卓越。
第三個亮點，便是在前主席 Sarah Staniforth 的引領下，於 2017 年底聘用了 Sarah
Stannage 為本會首位行政總監。Sarah Staniforth 讓幹士委員會明白到透過義務工作者來支
持大型活動和計劃的時代將成過去，要繼續讓會務長足發展免於被淘汰，尋找撥款聘請一位全
職行政總監是勢在必行的。 Sarah Stannage 多才多藝，履新不久已逐漸掌握本會節奏，並
適時運用其專長，為本會發展取得不少成果。
總結而言， 我們十分感謝 Sarah Staniforth 過去 6 年的英明領導。她在周年大會與最後一次
「主席的話」專欄中特別提到，她在任期間得到總秘書長 Jo Kirby-Atkinson 以及司務
Velson Horie 的支持，我在這裡向幾位致謝，感謝 Jo 和 Velson 肩負了不少鮮為人知但卻非
常耗時的工作，推動本會不斷向前邁進。國際文物修護學會現在運作順暢，全賴他們不辭勞苦
的無私付出。
儘管人類文化傳承面對充滿未知的未來已是不爭事實，但這種未知，會比 1950 或 1980 年代
我們前輩所面對的未來更嚴峻嗎？大概不會，但箇中所涉及的挑戰卻不盡相同。生活於數碼年
代，我相信我們作為專業修復人員，有機會以前所未有的方式來發表我們的意見，為世界帶來
不同。我期待與各位攜手合作實現這個想法，並將於下一期「主席的話」中更詳細分享。現在，
謹此祝賀與感謝各位對世界文化傳承所付出的努力。

第 28屆國際文物修護學會會議–論文及海報徵集
會議日期：2020年 11月 16至 20日
主題：Current practices and challenges in built heritage conservation
是次會議將涵蓋各式建築文物的保育，包括考古遺址、檔案及藏品；歷史建築、堡壘和宮殿；教堂與廟
宇等宗教建築；橋、城牆和紀念碑等結構建築；還有原址收藏於歷史建築內的藏品；以及歷史建築的表
面裝飾。
會議除了主要探討修復工作及修復科學研究，對其他範疇，尤其是能夠表現與其他修護專業合作的提案
就更感興趣。大會現同時徵集論文及海報摘要，內容需具原創性及未曾公開發表，提案內容必須切合本
次會議主題及與文物修復相關。大會特別歡迎下列主題的提案：
傳統手法與現代方式的比較
城市化及環境因素對建築文物的影響
考古遺址的實地保護
歷史遺址的遊客管理
保存考古檔案和倉儲管理的挑戰
文化遺跡的可持續發展
幫助加深對建築文物的認識及為修復方法提供更深入資料的科學研究
彩繪、石膏、石和馬賽克等表面裝飾的修復
公眾參與建築文物的保育，包括詮釋與修護行動
大會將優先考慮紀錄創新研究或採用革新修復方法的提案。個案研究也可獲考慮，惟其需與應用修復方
法的重大新發現有關。 此外，也歡迎以應對未來挑戰及研究需要為題的論文及海報。論文及海報均需
以英文撰寫。
