CDS - Connector Draft System

The Connector Draft System (CDS) maintains the required pressure (negative or positive) at the individual appliance connector. Designed with EC-Flow Technology™, the CDS takes advantage of the US Draft Co bi-directional pressure transducer and proprietary PID technology to rapidly respond to varying pressures at the appliance on Category I, II, III & IV as well as building heating appliance systems. Utilizing a single blade damper (SBD) or opposed blade damper (OBD), pressure transducer and the all-new VDC controller, the system interlocks with the fossil fuel fired heating appliance to maintain the required outlet pressure of the manufacturer. It also serves to protect the boiler from flue gas recirculation when used in a common vent system. The CDS meets all requirements for the National & International Fuel Gas Codes and the Uniform & International Mechanical Codes.

All Stainless Steel Construction The SBD damper is constructed of all high grade stainless steel. This can withstand the harsh conditions caused by corrosive condensation on low-temp boiler applications.

LP4 Bi-Directional Pressure Transducer The LP4 is used to provide pressure feedback to the V-Series controller capable of sensing from -1.0” to +1.0” w.c.

EC-Flow™ Technology EC-Flow™ Technology has been developed to better control manifold pressures seen while common venting condensing appliances. Our proprietary algorithms, including an industry-leading bi-directional pressure transducer, are designed to anticipate rapid load changes often seen during normal operations.

GFS - Gas Flow Switch The GFS is used to verify the operation of the CDS Includes a SPDT relay rated to 5 amps at 120VAC The flow switch setting is adjustable from 0.08” to 1.2” w.c.
