The Mission of our Event

The mission of the CPRA Lifeguard Games is to create an opportunity for lifeguards across the state to demonstrate their skills, teamwork, and unique abilities, while engaging in a fun and competitive day of events. This event is also presented as a team building opportunity for agencies to step away from the chaos of the summer and enjoy a day away together.

What to Expect

This is a Lifeguard Competition. The events are designed to challenge your team and your collective abilities to problem solve, think outside the box, communicate and work as a team. The CPRA Lifeguard Games welcomes lifeguards from multiple training disciplines including: American Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, NASCO, Star Guard and YMCA. Plan on completing all events within your team. 2019 Lifeguard Games will be set up a bit differently than in the past. We will be running 15 minute stations for facilities to compete in their respective events. For example, Round 1 (Events 1, 2 and 3 - see map) will run at the exact same time; after 15 minutes all teams will rotate to the next event. After all teams have competed in their events in Round 1, we will move onto Round 2 of events, etc. All 14 Lifeguards will stay with their team even if they are not participating in a specific event. This is a great way for each facility to encourage & cheer on their teams!
