The brand id of companies such as CDANZ,
Career Development Association of New
Zealand are a valuable asset and must be
protected.
They are an important point of difference as
they communicate the unique qualities and
personality of the company.
The visual standards outlined in this brochure
are essential in maintaining the integrity of
the brand and in presenting a consistent visual
image. The logotype is the companies signature.

Logo Clearspace
Minimum Logo Size
This is the approved CDANZ logotype. It must
not be altered or modified in any way. The
relationship between the elements must not
be changed in any way. The minimum logo
size is 60mm(wide), the absolute minimum
size at which the logo can be used is 45mm
(wide).
The Clearspace around the logo is shown by
the lower case letter “n” in the CDANZ initials
part of the logo. Use the size of this letter
“n” as it will appear in the final reproduction
size as your measure of clear space. Text or
illustrations should not appear within this
space to ensure that the brand stands clear
on the page.

Process Colours
Pantone Colours
The CDANZ colours are blue and red. The
brand should appear in these colours where
possible. To ensure the logotype is legible,
there should be as much contrast between
the logotype and the background as possible.
The ideal background colour is white. The
Pantone matching system is the preferred
way to match the CDANZ colours.
These colours are Pantone Blue 280C,
and Pantone Red 187C. In black & white
publications, the logo should be entirely
black on a white background, or when
reversed out, entirely white on a black
background.

Publications
This is an example of the CDANZ logo type
used on a publication such as a company
brochure or newsletter.
Graphics and photographs must be of the
highest quality, dominant colours should be
the CDANZ blue and red, text should be in the
approved typefaces.
Advertising
Advertising also plays an important role in
communicating the personality of the brand.
Graphics or photography should be of a high
quality and the copy should be in the correct
typefaces.
The CDANZ brand signature should appear
when possible in the bottom right hand corner
or at the base of the advertisement.
The dominant colours should ideally be the
CDANZ brand colours, blue and red.
Stand out from the crowd.
Typography
Three fonts from the Helvetica Neue family
have been chosen for use with the CDANZ
brand. Their use will also assist in projecting a
consistent brand image.
Helvetica Neue Bold should be used for
titles and main headings.
Helvetica Neue Regular should be used for
subheadings and small sections of text.
Helvetica Neue Light should be used for larger
areas of type written material.
The heading font for any CDANZ communication is: Helvetica Neue Bold
