Photography:The photo used for the ‘Florence and the machine’ cd cover is of Florence pulling a dramatic pose revealing some apparent lungs , which connects to her style of music, which is very bold & soulful.. Which involves a lot of breathing. The background looks quite mysterious & interesting, making you wonder what her music’s like. You can tell it’s going to be unique just from looking at the photo. The dark and soft colours give the photo a fairy tale- like look.

Integration of imagery and text:The album’s name is ‘Lungs’ which makes you think it’ll be a loud and dramatic album. The text used for this name is deliberately in capitals to emphasise the genre of music in the album. An image of lungs has been used to portray this text.

Photography:The photo’s are all of Paolo Nutini, set out in a row making it look like usual band cd covers, where there’s 4 or more people, by doing this it shows that he’s a ‘one man band’ he’s the only one making the music. The images look pretty simple, not a lot of detail, easy to look at.Integration of imagery and text:The text ‘Paolo Nutini’ is in a curly, fancy looking font, portraying a classy feel to the cover, and counteracts the simple-ness of the rest of the cover.Colour:Separate blocks of bright, oranges and yellows gives a cheerful, eye catching look.

Photography:Black and white photo of Adele, emphasises her solemn expression, there are no other distractions, you immediately know this album isn’t a cheerful one. The lighting creates dramatic shadows on her face, reflecting the powerful music she creates, soul and pop.Integration of imagery and text:The text is bold and slim, gives a feminine feel, it works well with the image of Adele, shows that the songs are about her. The subtleness of the album cover works well
