CCS Connection
A Message from the General Manager One item I know many of you want to know about is “what is happening regarding the sauna in
the men’s side of the fitness center”. So far, we have had two remediation firms: our insurance
company review the situation and respond to the report provided to us by a certified mold and
indoor air quality inspector. The fact is the situation unfortunately requires
significant mold remediation. The Club does have some insurance coverage for this issue and
we are working with the firms noted to determine the extent of demolition that will be
required. As I write this, that men’s steam room and shower area would be the minimum. The
guesstimated time-frame for demolition and rebuild is approximately 8 weeks from the start of
work. During this period, we are being told that the fitness center should be able to continue
providing service; though both restroom and shower areas will most likely be sealed off.
Construction firms are presently be contacted for rebuild bids. As things progress, I will keep
the Membership advised through additional email communication.
Perhaps amnesty is a new concept for CCS, but it is a time honored tradition at many private
clubs. I would like to offer amnesty to all those that may have a few of the Club’s golf towels or
loaner coolers taking up space in their trunk or garage. If you or someone you know has some
of these hanging around, we would appreciate their return so we do not have to spend more
dues dollars than necessary to provide these items. So, no questions asked, just drop them off
during your next visit to the Club.
I was listening to several members in conversation prior to a recent golf tournament. The topic
was a desire for koozies. The Club now has green with white logo koozies available in the Adult
Grill for $1.00. Great to keep canned and sports drinks cold!
Membership, the life blood of every Club also remains strong. As you review the newsletter,
you will notice that Karen Brazeal has been busy. We now have 10 new members in 2017 and
with just 20 more our initiation fee for golf memberships will increase to $5,000 for Full Golf
and $3,000 Junior Golf. I also remind you that if you know of a prospective Full Golf member,
not only do they want to keep the impending initiation fee increase in mind, but that our Full
Golf incentive program ends June 30, 2017. This program provides both the new Full Golf
member and their sponsor a $100 per month dues credit for 12 months; a nice savings.
As always, I look forward to seeing you at your Club,
Neal Gilder , CCM, CCE, CFE
