CCNA Voice Certification

The Cisco Certified Network Associate Voice(CCNA® Voice) validates associate-level knowledgeand skills required to administer a voice network. TheCisco® CCNA Voice certification confirms that therequired skill set for specialized job roles in voicetechnologies such as voice technologiesadministrator, voice engineer, and voice manager. Itvalidates skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX,IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemailsolutions.

The CCNA Voice Certification enterprise optionassesses skills and knowledge related to the CiscoUnified Communications Manager 6.0 (CUCM) 6.0. Itis typically employed by large organizations such asgovernments, large companies, and colleges. The CVOICE #642-436 exam will be required for this option.

The CCNA Voice Certifi cation c ommercial option assesses skills and knowledge related to theCisco CallManager Express (CME) and Cisco Unity Express (CUE) solutions typically used bymedium and small organizations such as companies with less than 2,000 employees, retail

businesses, and small school districts. The IIUC exam #640-460 will be required for this option.

Important information regarding CCNA Voice Cert ificationOn Oct. 19, 2010, Learning@Cisco announced the refresh of the CCNA Voice certification. Therefresh reflects the convergence of data, voice, and video on the network. The new exam,ICOMM v8.0 will replace the existing IIUC exam. The last day to test using the IIUC exam will beFebruary 28, 2011. In addition, the last day to use the enterprise option to earn CCNA VoiceCertification is Feb. 28, 2011.

CCNA Voice Recertification

CCNA Voice certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass a CCNA

Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any 642 - XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDEwritten exam.
