CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENTCOURSES1. CCELreservestherighttochangecoursearrangementswithoutpriornotice.1.1 Theminimumageforacceptanceonindividualprogrammesis15.

PAYMENT OF FEES2.1 2012feesincludealltaxeswhereapplicable.Feesmaybealteredincertaincircumstances

e.g.achangeintax.2.2 Feesmustbepaidinfull,inadvance,fortheperiodofstudyrequestedontheenrolmentform.2.3 Allfeesarecalculatedincompleteweeksandanypartofaweekiscountedasafullweek.

NocompensationisgivenforpublicholidayswhenCCELisclosed.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS3.1 Ifthisenrolmentiscancelledbeforethenominatedstartingdate,feeswillberefundedexcept

fortheenrolmentandhomestayplacementfeesor10%ofpayment,whicheveristhelesser.3.2 Forenrolmentsofuptofourweeksifthestudentwithdrawswithinthefirsttwodaysofthecourse50%of

thetuitionfeeswillberefunded.3.3 Forenrolmentsoffivetoelevenweeksifthestudentwithdrawswithinthefirstfivedaysofthecourse75%

ofthetuitionfeeswillberefunded.3.4 Forenrolmentsoftwelveweeksormoreifthestudentwithdrawswithinthefirsttendaysofthecourse

thefeeswillberefundedexceptfor$NZ500or10%ofthetuitionfees,whicheveristhelesser.3.5 Aftertheabovewithdrawaldeadlinesnofeesexceptforunusedhomestayfeeswillberefunded.Wedo

notrefundfeesorgiveafreeextensionofthecourseifthestudent: •ArriveslateforthecoursewithoutnotifyingCCEL •Takestimeoffduringthecourse(unlessbyprioragreementassetoutinclauses4.1,4.2,and4.3) •Leavesbeforethecourseisfinished

Wedonotgiveextraweeksofpart-timestudyinplaceofpre-paidfull-timestudy.CCELreservestherighttoalteritsrefundpolicyintheeventofachangetoNewZealandlegislation.

3.6 IfCCELrequiresastudenttoleavefornotcomplyingwiththeconditionsofenrolment,tuitionfeeswillnotberefundedifsuchrequirementisafterthefirsttendaysofstudy.

HOLIDAY DURING COURSES4.1 Amaximumoftwoweeks’holidaywithoutlossoftuitionfeesmaybetakenforeach24weeksofstudy.

Norefundsorextensionofcoursewillbegrantedforholidaysinexcessofthisallowance.4.2 Atleastoneweek’snoticeofarequestforleavemustbegiven.Ifnot,holidaycreditmaynotbegivenand

tuitionfeeswillbelost.4.3 ExtensionsbecauseofholidayscanonlybegiveninGeneralEnglishcourses.

ACCOMMODATION5.1 Aminimumof4weeks’homestaymustbepaidinadvancewithafirst-timeenrolment.Afterthat,CCEL

homestayfeesmustbepaidinadvance.Paymentsmustmatchtheamountontheinvoice.5.2 IfthestudentleavesCCELaccommodationearly,boththehostfamilyandCCELmustreceiveone

week’snoticeofthestudent’sintentiontoleave.CCELwillrefundthebalanceofanyremainingpre-paidhomestayfees,minusanycostsrecoverablebyCCEL.

5.3 CCELrequiresaminimumof2weeks’noticeofenrolmentsthatrequirehomestayorcampusresidenceaccommodation.Walkingzonehomestayandcampusresidenceaccommodationissubjecttoavailability.

5.4 Anaccommodationchangefeeof$NZ100willbechargedbyCCEL.

ATTENDANCE AND BEHAVIOUR6.1 Thestudentisexpectedtoattendalllessonspunctuallyandmustcomplywiththeconditionsofhis/her

visatostayinNewZealand.6.2 ThestudentmustbehaveconsideratelybothatCCELandinhomestay.6.3 ThestudentmustobeythelawsofNewZealand,includingNewZealand’sdriverlicensingrequirements

andRoadCode.6.4 Failuretocomplywiththeseconditionsmayresultinthestudenthavingtheircourseofstudyterminated

byCCELandnotificationofthisgiventotheNewZealandImmigrationService.

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE7.1 Itistheresponsibilityofthestudenttoensurethathe/shehasadequatemedicalandtravelinsurance.

CCELcannotbeheldresponsibleforanysickness,injury,damageorlossincurred(includinglossoffees)withinCCELoronCCELactivitiesortours.

7.2 Studentsmustprovideevidenceofappropriateandcurrentmedicalandtravelinsurance. ThisinsurancemustcoverthefulllengthoftimespentinNewZealand.Overseasinsurance policieswillonlybeacceptedwithanEnglishtranslation.

7.3 CCELwillkeeparecordofeachstudent’spolicy.7.4 CCELshallnotbeliableiftheserviceswestateweoffercannotbeprovidedforreasons

beyondourcontrol.7.5 Byacceptingtheconditionsofenrolmentthestudentagreestothefreeuseoftheirimageandwritten

referencesinCCELpromotionalmaterial.

GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES8.1 Ifthestudentwishestomakeacomplaint,he/sheshouldseetheCCELGeneralManager.Iftheproblem

cannotberesolvedbytheGeneralManager,theCCELManagingDirectormaybeconsulted.CCELisamemberofEnglishNewZealand.Ifthestudent’scomplaintcannotberesolvedbyCCELstaff,he/shecancontactEnglishNewZealandforhelpbyvisitingwww.englishnewzealand.co.nz
