Bi –Annual Report 2016-17 (1st April-2016 to 30th Sep-2016)

Dear Parent,

It gives me immense pleasure to present the Bi-Annual Report of the school for the period of 1st April-2016 to 30th September-2016 This academic session started on 1st April-2016. After summer vacation, school re-opened on 13th June-2016. As per Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), we conducted two formative assessments (FA) and one summative assessment (SA) during First Term. We started the second term on 3rd Oct-2016.

CBSE Examination Results:

Class X Results – 100%. All the 38 children have been declared eligible for higher studies. Out of these 38, eight children secured CGPA-10 by securing A1 grade in all the subjects.

Book Fair We organized a book fair in association with scholastic India Pvt Ltd from 18th April-2016 to 20th April 2016.The response from parents and students was excellent. A good number of titles were sold during these three days.

Earth Day

On 22nd April 2016 Earth day celebrated with plantation of saplings and save water campaign in UTCL Township. Children, teachers and residents of colony went on a campaign by elevating placards, banners, proclaimed slogans and performed street plays on the issue. Unit Head Shri G.M. Krishna flagged off the procession.

Investiture Ceremony - School Head Boy and Head Girl Master N.Charan Reddy of class X has been nominated as Head Boy and Kum P.Anusha of class X as Head Girl for the academic year 2016-’17. Investiture ceremony held on 20h June -2016. All the captains and vice captains of our four houses also took oath along with Head Boy and Head Girl.

Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Day was celebrated on 15-08-2016. Sri. G.M.Krishna, Unit Head was the Chief Guest, who received guard of honour from Security and NCC (Girls) cadets. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered an inspiring speech about present scenario of the country and role of students. School Magazine “Arunodaya 2015-16” was released by Shri G.M.Krishna and the first copy was received by Mrs. Vasantha Krishna. Parents and students witnessed the colourful cultural programme performed by children.

Inter – School Athletic Meet

Our School organized an Inter School Athletic Meet at Dronacharya Stadium of APCW on 19th and 20th of August-2016. It was inaugurated by by Sri. G.M.Krishna, Unit Head, UTCL. Seven schools participated in this grand and mega event. Participants were from Zilla Parishad Schools of Ankireddypalli, Thimmanaynipeta, Abdullapuram, Kolimigundla, Chintalayalapalli, Sree Ramakrishna English Medium School Thummalapenta and the host school. Various track events, throws and jumps were conducted for the boys and girls of different categories.

Overall championship was bagged by Z.P.H.S. Ankireddypalli with 116 points and the second position by The Aditya Birla Public School with 109 points.

Teachers’ Day Celebrations

Teachers' Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm on 3rd Sep-16. On this day, students dressed up like their teachers and taught their juniors the same way as their teachers do.

Students organized funny games and cultural programme to entertain the teachers and ascertain the importance of the teachers in their lives.

All the teachers took oath, to be committed and sincere to their profession for imparting quality education to students. Management arranged a get-together to honour the teachers along with their families.

Safety Awareness in School On every Wednesday children perform safety skits on various topics in school assembly to bring awareness among children. House on duty takes the responsibility of handling the programme every week. Special programme arranged on 15th June-2016 during morning assembly regarding safety, health and protection of environment. Besides talks and skit, children took safety and health pledge.

Implementation of 5S in School In order to maintain neatness and cleanliness in our school premises we are implementing 5S. Awareness given to children by conducting various activities. A committee has been set up to monitor the progress on regular basis and instituted best class room award

Tree Plantation: A Tree plantation programme carried out in the nearby village Brahminapalli by children of class-X. Students of senior classes took part in a rally ‘Green Walk” organized by Environment Dept of UltraTech Cement Limited. They planted many saplings in the township.

2. Mr.TVRKM Gupta attended a 3 day workshop at Hyderabad regarding Internal Audit of ISO

4. CBSE conducted a 2 day workshop for all the teachers in our school on 24th and 25th Sep-2016 on the topic “Scholastic Aspects of CCE”

5. Mrs. N.Anitha TGT (Eng) and Mrs. K.Sowgandhika PRT (Eng) attended a two - day workshop for English Teachers organized by ABG at PRFS, Mathura on 23rd and 24th July-2016

6. Mr. K.V.N.Krishna TGT (Maths) attended a two day workshop organized for CCE trainers at Vijayawada by CBSE on 30th and 31st May-2016

For Students

1. “On A Quest” – A film on Swami Chinmayananda was screened for children from classes VI to X.

2. A Seminar on Vedic Mathematics was Organized, resource person - Dr. B.Sai Kiran (Gunniess World Record Holder)

3. One day Career Guidance Programme was conducted for Classes VIII to X on 6th Sep-2016
