Pastoral Care for the Sick & Homebound: Notify Parish Office when a parishioner is hospitalized or homebound and unable to attend Mass. An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion will assist in bringing the Eucharist to them. Dear parishioners, come join us at the
Missionaries of Charity Shelter, 724 N.W. 17 Street,
every 3rd Sunday of the month to cook for and feed the homeless men of Miami. Don’t miss this beautiful
opportunity to serve God by serving the poor.
The shelter opens for the
volunteers at 7:30 am but they don’t start serving food to the
homeless until 9:30am. There is a second food service
at 10:30 am and a third at 11:30am.
Those volunteers that get to the shelter in the morning help prepare and serve the food
during the first service.
You are welcomed to come at any time or day of the week.
The shelter is closed on Thursdays.

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has informed that since the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15, falls on a Monday
this year, it is not observed as a Holy Day of Obligation.
Nevertheless, you are all welcome to join us for the 8 AM Mass in English, or the 7 PM Mass in Spanish to honor our
Blessed Mother in this day when we celebrate her assumption into heaven.

Los Talleres se llevarán a cabo en español por 15 semanas consecutivas. Las sesiones son
una vez por semana y duran 2 horas.
El Taller se iniciará el Miércoles 10 de Agosto a las 7:00pm en el segundo piso de la escuela en uno de los
salones de Saint Thomas the Apostle.

REGISTRATION
Registration forms for Religious Education classes
are available in the Rectory Office. Every year you have to register your child.
All classes begin in September 2016.
Classes are available for PK-4 thru 8th Grade and Confirmation Preparation for High School
Students.
Classes for PK4 thru 5th Grade are on Wednesdays from 3:45–5:00 pm.
Classes for 6-8th and Confirmation Preparation of High School students are on
Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30 pm.
Classes in Spanish are held on Sundays 11:00am– 12:00pm.
RCIA classes are held on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm.
*Along with the registration form, we need a copy of the child’s birth certificate.

Next weekend’s second collection is for the benefit of the Seminary Burse Fund in support of seminarians from the Archdiocese of Miami.
These men, with God’s grace, will be our priests in the future. Please use the specially designated envelopes for your donation to this fund and
