MISSION ~ We are a welcoming Catholic community, making God visible through the sacraments, faith formation and service.
A VISIBLE GOD. We find it difficult to convey ideas to people unless we can actually show them something, demonstrate what we mean. God, who is invisible and truly beyond human understanding, apparently faces the same difficulty. People want to see, not just listen to an idea. So God gave us Jesus Christ, God made visible in the world. During these past weeks
we have seen how Jesus was revealed as an infant to the shepherds and the magi, and then began his adult “public life” at his baptism by John. Today’s Gospel reading tells us of his “first sign,” providing wine for the wedding guests at Cana. Of course, even Jesus, God made visible, was not always easily understood in his own day, nor is he even now. So we have to ponder what we see: the poverty and simplicity of his birth, his humility and openness before John the Baptist, his kindness and compassion toward people in their ordinary problems, such as running short of wine at a wedding. Yet it is in coming to know Jesus that we come to know God.

Lighthouse Catholic Ministry Divine Intervention
Have you ever heard someone insist that Jesus never claimed to be divine, never intended for a religion to be founded in his honor, or that the followers of Jesus started claiming his divinity only in hindsight, long after his death? Let
Fr Barron unpack for you the ways that Jesus revealed himself as the Son of God. Fr. Barron illuminates with conviction that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah and revelation of God become man. He shows how Jesus fulfills the four tasks of the Messiah according to the Old and New Testaments and how the living legacy of Christ is proclaimed by the Church.
(Books and CDs located in the Vollkommer Bell Tower and the lobby in the Parish Offices Complex).

A Note from Parishioner and Past-
Retreatant, Diana Ellis: “The opportunity to quietly reflect on my life was a key that opened doors for me, to start finding the better version of myself. What does this mean? At times I am not sure, because finding the better version of myself is a continuous evolving process. You sometimes have to try to step out of your comfort zone and see what else there is for you in this life. The ACTS retreat allowed me the time and place to consider a change of heart and spirit. Is this your time? It may just be. You may want to give serious consideration to going on an ACTS retreat. It is truly the opportunity of a lifetime and a life changing experience!”
Diana will be in the Narthex this weekend to answer any questions regarding the ACTS
Women’s Retreat March 14-17, 2019
