Teams may elect to attend tournaments. The tournament expenses are to be determined by each team. Financial Assistance is available to all who are eligible upon completion of a Financial Aid application. Financial Aid maximum is 75% Tryout fee is non-refundable Payment is non-refundable after player has been registered with NCYSA Player cards may be pulled resulting in players not being allowed to play in games if payments are late.

Director of Coaching Report Team Status:
19 teams 4 Combined U-8, U-9, and U-10 teams (2 boys and 2 girls)
Completed third full year in the Academy Program 46 players involved age 7.5 to 12

The Western NC Challenge league is fading. We did not have any teams compete in the Challenge league the last 2 years

Futsal League was started in November 2007 This season we were not able to secure a gym.
Speed and Agility Winter Program 140 kids involved (free) 2011 CVYSA Summer Soccer Camps
Day Camp – June 13 – 17 @ Henry Fork Team Camp – Aug. 8 – 11 @ Henry Fork
Soccer in Schools: a program for elementary schools that focuses on teaching basic soccer skills and fundamental games to PE coaches and their students. Clyde Campbell, Jenkins, Murray, Snow Creek, St Stephens, and Mt View schools participated.
Working with the Latino Community to integrate them to CVYSA soccer community

CVYSA Coaches are now assisting with training of Little Blasters Program CVYSA has transitioned to coaches and older
CVYSA players for the technical training / teaching.
LRU provided 6 student athletes to assist with little blasters & youth academy training
Director of Coaching Report Training Model – Youth Academy:
Trained players in age appropriate / ability groups 2010 Fall season focused on individual skill while
touching on team shape with older players 2011 Spring season focused on individual
development & added small tactical training for older players.
Education – paramount in the understanding of how and why CVYSA handles the Youth Academy. Training is based on age appropriate sessions for players.
Head Coach communicated, weekly, the upcoming training plan to parents.
Director of Coaching Report U12 Academy - New NCYSA program
CVYSA’s objective is use the U12 Academy as a training ground for new or less experienced U11/12 players. (5 G / 5 B)
Existing & new classic teams will still be kept or created.
