Fixed Displacement Vane PumpHV10 and HV20 Series

Features

• HV10 / HV20 Series are fixed displacement and balancedtype vane pumps. With compact sizes, they are availablein single pumps and double pumps for both industrial andmobile application.

• The vane design with self compensation for wear andclearances makes volumetric efficiency of pump nearlyconstant over the service life. (the vanes always adjust itsorbit to contact with the cam ring, even though wear occursbetween the cam ring and vane tips)

• The vane pump is not damaged at low speed and highpressure operation because pumping action does not startuntil the speed is high enough for the vane to throw out.With hydraulically balanced design, the bearing is externallyloaded only. Therefore, the pump requires minimizedmaintenance with long service life.

• The inlet or outlet ports can be rotated through incrementsof 90o in relation to each other, providing applicationflexibility and easy installation.

• With optional flow control and priority valve covers, the pumpcan be used in more applications. The flow control covercan limit the flow to the primary circuit at the required flowrate, while diverts remaining flow to the tank. The priorityvalve cover maintains a constant flow to the primary circuit,while diverts remaining flow to the secondary circuit. Eachcover comes with a relief valve to limits the maximumpressure of the primary circuit.

Handling

• For maximum service life, the pump should be protectedfrom contamination. Filtering fluid before filling and duringoperation to maintain or exceed ISO cleanliness code 17/14. Replaceable elements should be changed as filtersupplier instructions

• The drive shaft must align with the power source shaft.Avoiding shaft end thrust and applications that imposeradial loading.

• The start-up procedures should be as follows:- Check the rotation of power source to match the rotationof pump.- Check inlet and outlet ports to assure all connections areproperly installed and check all mounting bolts and flangesto assure all are tight and properly aligned.

- Fill pump with fluid through the outlet port if the pump ismounted above the fluid level. The spline shaft modelsalso need to be lubricated with an anti-fretting grease orsimilar lubricant.- Place all controls in the neutral position so the pump isunloaded during initial start-up.- Prime the pump within a few second when the pump isstarted.- Bleed off entrapped air from outlet circuit until a steadyoutput flow is observed.

Fixed Displacement Vane PumpHV and HVQ Series

Features

• HV / HVQ Series are fixed displacement and balancedtype vane pumps. Available in both 12 vanes design forindustrial application with quiet operating and 10 vanesdesign for mobile application with higher pressure andwider range of speed.

• The vane design with self compensation for wear andclearances makes volumetric efficiency of pump nearlyconstant over the service life. (the vane always adjust itsorbit to contact with the cam ring, even though wear occursbetween the cam ring and vane tip)

• With a balanced intra-vane design, outlet pressure iscontinuously applied only to the area between the vaneand insert. This area is small and thrust is correspondinglylight. Top and bottom areas of the vane are subject to eitherinlet or outlet pressure, depending on the vane's locationduring rotor rotation. The valving of pressure to and fromthe bottom area of the vane is through holes drilled in therotor. This varying pressure under the vane reduces wearand increases pump efficiency.

• The vane pump is not damaged at low speed and highpressure operation because pumping action does not startuntil the speed is high enough for the vane to throw out.

• The inlet or outlet ports can be rotated through incrementsof 90o in relation to each other, providing applicationflexibility and easy installation.

• With the cartridge independent of the shaft, allowing foreasy change of flow capacity and field servicing withoutremoving the pump from its mounting.

• For the cartridge kit of HVQ Series, the flexible plates areinserted between the support plates and the rotor. Theflexible plates are assembled with the bronze facingtowards the rotor to improve cold start capability andcompensate thermal expansion in the rotor. This makesHVQ Series particularly suited for mobile application.

Appropriately size suction filter, with cold start bypass,of 149 micron absolute (100 mesh) and 10 micron absolutereturn line filter is recommended. Replaceable elementsshould be changed as filter supplier instructions

• The drive shaft must align with the power source shaft.Avoiding shaft end thrust and applications that imposeradial loading.

• The start-up procedures should be as follows:- Check the rotation of power source to match with rotationof

pump.

- Check inlet and outlet ports to assure all connections areproperly installed and check all mounting bolts and flangesto assure all are tight and properly aligned.- Fill pump with fluid through the outlet port if the pump ismounted above the fluid level. Remote Control Relief ValveRM Series

Features and Handling

• RM Series are Direct type relief valves with three pressureranges available. They can be used as remote control reliefvalve when they are connected to the vent port of anybalanced piston type relief valves.

• To adjust the set pressure, loosen the lock nut of the valveand turn the handle to adjust the pressure. Maintain theback pressure at the tank port as low as possible, lessthan 2 bar (28 psi).
