X2D communication PROTOCOLOver 5 million products installed!
10
Developed and patented by Delta Dore over20 years ago, the X2D language is a communication protocol used for wireless, power line carrier and BUS products.
Energy management systems require a constantexchange of information between the home’s dif-ferent applications. This is why X2D is used forhome energy management applications, security and control systems, and is thus at the centre of Delta Dore’s home automation offer.
As it requires no specific configuration tool, X2Dis very easy to install and use. Each installationhas its own code (16 million possibilities), which ensures a secure system. Using the sameprotocol for home applications allows them to be immediately operational and interactive, which gives you considerable latitude to offeryour customers many adaptations depending on their needs.
11
X2D radio technology
Delta Dore has chosen to use the 868 MHz frequencyfor its heating management and control applian-ces. One of the advantages of using the 868 MHzbandwidth is that it is regulated and, above all, it is standardized. This means that it cannot bedisrupted by other radio emitting electrical appliances (e.g. wireless headset).
X2D Power line carrier technology
This technology uses the existing electrical network and does not require any additionalwiring. X2D does not disrupt appliances or theelectric power supply because it uses a separate132.45 KHz bandwidth.
Opening
Our expertise in protocols is not limited to theX2D protocol. Our teams can provide solutions using other communication protocols.
INTRODUCTION TO ENERGY MANAGEMENT
12
As the world adapts step by step to the essentialsof sustainable development, saving energy is oneof the most pressing environmental issues.
From standard to specific offers, Delta Dore offersa full range of proven solutions for heating andenergy management, to increase comfort and save energy.
These solutions optimise the performance of not only traditional heating installations, such as electric convectors or heaters, but also the performance of renewable energy systems, suchas heat pumps or solar power.
The energy management offer also proposes load-control solutions to limit peaks of energyconsumption and their resulting costs.
The transmission technologies used and masteredby Delta Dore, such as the 6-order pilot Wire(GIFAM standard), Power Line Carrier (PLC) and radio mean that our solutions can be installed on all types of equipment.

« A STEP TOWARDSHOME AUTOMATION »
Energy savingsHome automation is the art of combining securityfunctions (such as anti-intruder alarms), controlsystems (such as lighting controls or roller shutters),and energy management (such as heating or airconditioning programming) in your home.Delta Dore’s home automation offer, which combines energy management, control systems and security, ensures that the user benefits from increased comfort, but above all from energy savings and a higher level of security.
Combining a door/window magnetic contact withyour room thermostat or directly with a convector, the heating will automatically turn off when a window is opened and will revert to normal mode assoon as it is closed.Energy waste is avoided.
When you leave your home each morning, youwon’t need to check each room. With one simplestep the heating will switch to economy mode.
In your workplace or holiday home, you can alwayscontrol your installation thanks to the telephone remote control.

ELECTRIC HEATING
The built-in thermostats is an electric heating solution. It is particularly well-adapted to integration on the heater (convector or radiator).
Precise temperature regulationDelta Dore takes great care to ensure that the built-in thermostats perform well. Power circuit boards are systemati-cally adjusted, to maintain high performance.Tests in a bi-climatic room are conducted on each client's hea-ter, thus ensuring high performance is achieved.
The built-in thermostat is made up of the following elements
A control moduleIt is the user interface to set temperature, modes and programmes.
A power circuit board thermostatIt is the « brain » of the thermostat and controls heater features.

PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT
Delta Dore develops complementary solutions to enable control of energy consumption and the permanent control of the installation.
The aim is to reduce waste and over-consumptionas much as possible, while increasing comfort. This can be achieved thanks to the automation ofdaily repeated actions, the display of temperatureand consumption information, as well as local orremote installation control.
47
PERIPHERAL EQUIPEMENT
Load-control consists in stopping the power supply of the « non-priority » equipment within an installation.
It occurs as soon as a defined power threshold iscrossed. This fully automatic operation enables, onthe one hand, to avoid energy consumption peaksand on the other hand, the users can reduce theirenergy bill without risking unexpected trip-outs.
