Company Profile

We are an organic bakery established in 1978 that specializes in making 100% organic traditional leavened breads and French morning pastries. Our master bakers use traditional methods to ensure quality at all stages of the production process. Slow kneading provides a tasty and tender crumb. We let the dough rise on layers of linen and bake it on stone plates to ensure a thicker crust for better preservation of the bread. As a result, our sourdough breads guarantee a unique taste, texture and quality. Biofournil uses the finest organic ingredients: stone ground organic cereal flours (GMO free), natural leavening, purified water and unrefined sea salt.

Fresh - Daregal ensures that all of its herbs are processed from field to freezer within a few hours. Compare this to the fresh herbs in the produce aisle that have been sitting on the shelf for days on end. Daregal’s deep freezing process preserves the herbs' fresh-picked flavor, aroma, and color. Daregal fresh frozen herbs are "fresher than fresh." Natural - For more than 125 years, Daregal has been dedicated to growing and selling the highest quality herbs. Everything in the Daregal line is all-natural, and grown under strict supervision according to exacting standards. Daregal has an agricultural Research & Development team dedicated to working with farmers who treat the land and the crops with the utmost respect. Convenient - When you buy a container of Daregal herbs, you’re paying only for the tender leaves of the herbs – washed, chopped and ready to use. No waste, no work. And, with a three-year shelf life, Daregal fresh frozen herbs are there when you need them. Daregal fresh frozen herbs are also the most cost-effective way to enjoy herbs in your cooking. The same quantity of stemmed and chopped fresh herbs would cost nearly twice as much, and the equivalent quantity of dried herbs costs almost three times more.

Company Profile

Founded in 1918 by Louis Martin, our factory is based in the heart of Provence in the village of Monteux, between Avignon and Carpentras. Tomatoes have always been our focus, we source them only in our region, famous for its exceptional amount of sunshine and the fertility of its soils. The seasonal activity of processing regional fruit and vegetables, especially tomatoes (40,000 tons of fresh tomatoes per year) enables us to control the quality of the fresh product which has to be perfectly suitable for the production of our sauces, ketchups, and cooked vegetables. A research and development laboratory is located in the factory and allows us to devise still more original and tasty recipes. Our company has a regular strategy of substantial investment in new processing technologies which ensures the very highest levels of quality. Our production facilities have been certified by the BRC and IFS since their inception and our evaluation results have always been at the highest level. These achievements, together with our capacity for innovation and our industrial knowledge qualify Louis Martin as a premium supplier of products for both large retailers and foodservice clients.
