Jan Broberg Carter è una compositrice/arrangiatrice musi-cale per programmi televisivi e film. È, inoltre, produttore esecutivo e direttore musicale. Attualmente è produttore esecutivo musicale e compositrice per una serie televisiva animata e per un’altra sul web chiamata “Linear Tales”. È stata scelta (insieme ai fotografi di architettura Marylin and Stillman Clark) per produrre e comporre gli arrangiamenti musicali del nuovo progetto ambientato a Las Vegas, Nevada – un film/documentario sull’architetto americano Frank Gehry – e per un secondo documentario sulla costruzione di uno dei suoi capolavori: “The Ruvo”. Dal 1998 è membro dell’ASCAP ed attualmente è giudice internazionale di film festival in Italia, Grecia, Francia, a Los Angeles e a New York. È membro del Sundance Patron Circle da ben 16 anni. Ritorna al Lucania Film Festival 2015 dopo aver presieduto la giuria nel 2014.

Jan Broberg Carter is a classically-trained TV and film com-poser/orchestrator who is an Executive Music Producer/Compo-ser and Music Editor. She has scored 16 movies and is currently the exec.music producer/composer of an animated TV and web series,”Linear Tales.” She has been chosen to produce and score the upcoming film project (along with architectural photographers Marilyn and Stillman Clark) in Las Vegas, Nevada—a documen-tary about American architect Frank Gehry– and a second do-cumentary about the building of one of his masterpieces,”The Ruvo.” A member of ASCAP since 1998, she is an international film festival judge in Italy, Greece, France, L.A. and N.Y. and is a member of IFP/NY, NAfTA, and the Las Vegas Musician’s Local 369.She wrote a weekly newspaper column for 2 years, “At The Movies” and was the Arts Critic for “Palascope Magazine” for 3 years. She has been a guest conductor for both symphonic and choral works in the U.S. and in Europe. She attended Dartmouth, Harvard and Oxford University and livesin both Portland, Maine and Nova Scotia, Canada. This is her 4th year as a judge for BSFF. She has been a member of The Sundance Patron Circle for 16 years.

Ann Akulevick was born in 1985 in Nikolaev (Ukraina) En-ded musical school (piano). In 2008 she received a master’s degree at the Kiev National University of Theatre Film, and Television named Karpenko-Kariy (experimental course cinema and TV directors).She taught at the University of the CRT arts (2007-2013). Now she works as a teacher of directing movies and acting.Have got practice on TV and in the cinema of industry.She has been winning of the international feature film (It’s Me) at 15th Lucania Film Festival

Ann Akulevich è nata nel 1985 a Nikolaev in Ucraina, Musici-sta, nel 2008 ha conseguito un master presso l’Università Na-zionale di Kiev di Teatro, Cinema e Televisione, il Karpenko-Kariy (corso di cinema sperimentale e registi televisivi). Ha insegnato presso l’Università delle Arti di CRT (2007-2013). Ora lavora come docente di direzione e direzione cinematogra-fica di Kiev. Ha una lunga esperienza di produzione e direzione nei settori del Cinema e della Tv Nazionale ucraina. E’ stata vincitrice nel 2014 della 15a edizione del Lucania Film Festival con il suo film “It’s Me”.

Uliana Kovaleva è una produttrice che lavora tra Italia e Russia. Si è laureata come un produttrice presso l’Istituto di Cinema a Mosca dove, il 30 gennaio 1967, fu firmato un accordo di coproduzione tra Italia e Unione Sovietica. Dopo la dissoluzione dell’Unione Sovietica, esso fu mantenuto in vigore tra l’Italia e la neonata Federazione Russa. Il 28 novem-bre 2002 fu firmato un nuovo accordo per la coproduzione di film tra Italia e Russia. Nel 2009 è stato realizzato il primo film col nuovo accordo: “Dieci inverni” un’opera prodotta proprio da Uliana Kovaleva. La Kovaleva è stata una dei co-ordinatori del programma “Cinema italiano in Russia” e ha organizzato eventi dedicati ai film italiani in varie città della Russia. Recentemente ha prodotto il film “Amori Elementari” una co-porduzione italo-russa. Presto vedremo sugli schermi una nuova sua co-produzione, il film «Di tutti i colori». Ha in cantiere altre produzioni cinematografiche tra i due Paesi.

Uliana Kovaleva is a producer that works between Italy and Russia. She graduated from the Moscow Institute of Scriptwriters and Film directors as a Producer of Screen and Television. She studied also in Italy, in Perugia. Knowledge of the two languages and the two countries helped her naturally combine and imple-ment the cooperation between them.. On 28 November 2002 a new Agreement for Films Co-Production Agreement between Italy and Russia has been signed in Rome. The first film according the Agreement of 2002 was realized only on 2009. It was the Feature film “Ten winters”. The producer from russian side was Uliana Kovaleva. The film participate in 66th Venice Interna-tional Film Festival, 22nd Tokyo International Film Festival, VIII International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts “Spirit of Fire” in Khanty-Mansiysk – won Grand Prix “Golden Taiga”, and got David di Donatello as the best debut film.In 2011 was the Year of Russian Culture and Language in Italy and Year of Italian Cul-ture and Language in Russia. She was one of the coordinators of program “Italian cinema in Russia” and organized events and show Italian films in various cities of Russia, organized the arrival

of Italian directors and actors and their meetings with Russian viewers.Recently, in 2014 she made a new Feature film «Ele mentary loves» Italian-Russian co-production, which participate at 36 Moscow international Film Festival and other festival. Soon we will see on the screens the new film Feature co-production film «Of all Colors». And Uliana Kovaleva is open for new joint projects between our two countries Italy and Russia.

Il viandante, prima incontra coloro che vengono stregati, poi sorprende le tre donne e le segue nei boschi, dove anche lui sarà vittima del loro gioco, fino a scoprire di essere lui stesso l autore della lettera d amore.

A crumbled message awakes the wayfarer who was sleeping in a cave; it says: “I love you; come find me”. The curious man decide to embark on a journey in which he comes across fairy landscapes, gypsy women and gold seekers. The gypsy women seduce and rob people in the river. The wayfarer, who has alre-ady met the bewitched men, finally finds the three women into the wood where he will be seduced too , finding out that he’s the author of the message.

Sinossi / SynopsisPollino 79 è un documentario realizzato nel 1979 da Luigi Cinque che riguardò la Festa della Madonna del Pollino che avveniva – allora - il venerdì precedente la prima domenica di giugno. Quell’anno il 1979 fu l’ultimo prima della costru-zione della strada asfaltata e dunque per questo, e non solo, ovviamente, risultava ancor più chiaro il motivo ( che sap-piamo essere davvero arcaico, pregreco e preromano ) del pellegrinaggio. Il documentario, ancora del tutto inedito, fu girato in pellicola super8 e oggi è un punto di riferimento della memoria nella costruzione di un lungometraggio con-temporaneo che vedrà tra gli altri protagonisti Antonio In-fantino. Per questo nel corso della proiezione sarà girata, in real time, una scena del film che vedrà appunto Antonio Infantino tra il pubblico degli spettatori di Pollino79.

In 1979 Luigi Cinque directed Pollino 79 a documentary about the holy festival of “Madonna del Pollino” which took place the last Friday before the first Sunday of June. The 1979 was the last year before the tarmac road was built and by consequence, this was the reason why people went on a pilgrimage. The documen-tary, an unreleased movie, was shot with the featuring of Antonio Infantino , using the super 8 mm film and nowadays it’s still a point of reference for the making of contemporary full-length films. During the projection, a real time scene will be shot show-ing Antonio Infantino taking place in the audience of Pollino 79.

Elio Germano nasce a Roma nel 1980 in provincia di Cam-pobasso .Nel 1999 preferisce abbandonare Giancarlo Co-belli in una tournée teatrale per partecipare al film Il cielo in una stanza di Carlo Vanzina, e da quel momento inizia la sua carriera cinematografica. Conclusa l’esperienza con Vanzina, lavora infatti con registi quali Ettore Scola (Concor-renza sleale), Emanuele Crialese (Respiro), Gianluca Maria Tavarelli (Liberi),Libero De Rienzo (Sangue - La morte non esiste), Giovanni Veronesi (Che ne sarà di noi), Michele Pla-cido (Romanzo criminale), Gabriele Salvatores (Quo vadis, baby?, Come Dio comanda). La notorietà arriva a seguito dello scandalo provocato da una scena di nudo esplicito nel film di Paolo Franchi “Nessuna qualità agli eroi”.Si aggiudica il David di Donatello come miglior attore pro-tagonista con il film di Daniele Luchetti “Mio fratello è figlio unico” (2007). Nel 2008, con la regia di Francesco Patierno, ha vestito i panni del popolare conduttore e autore radiofo-nico Marco Baldini, in “Il mattino ha l’oro in bocca”, film ba-sato sull’autobiografia dello stesso speaker, Il giocatore (ogni scommessa è un debito). Nel 2010 Germano è protagonista della pellicola “La nostra vita”, diretta da Daniele Luchetti; unico film italiano in concorso al 63º Festival di Cannes, per il quale viene insignito del premio per la miglior interpretazio-ne maschile ex aequo con Javier Bardem. In seguito Germa-no ottiene, sempre per il film di Luchetti, il Nastro d’Argento al migliore attore protagonista, ex aequo con Christian De Sica, e il David di Donatello per il miglior attore protagoni-sta. Nel 2011 è protagonista di “Magnifica presenza” con Margherita Buy.Nel 2014 è protagonista del film “Il giovane favoloso” diretto da Mario Martone, dove interpreta Giacomo Leopardi, per il quale ottiene il Premio David di Donatello 2015, come Miglior Attore Protagonista.

Elio Germano was born in Rome in 1980 into a family from Molise. He attained notoriety after an explicit nude scene in Paolo Franchi’s movie Nessuna qualità agli eroi. For his role in Daniele Lucchetti’s movie Mio fratello è figlio unico (2007) he won his first David di Donatello as best actor in a lea-ding role. In 2008 he was directed by Francesco Patierno playing the role of the popular radio host Mario Badini in the movie Il mattino ha l’oro in bocca based on his autobiography Il giocatore (Ogni scommessa è un debito).In 2010 he acted in Daniele Lucchetti’s La nostra vita , the only Italian movie at the 63th Cannes Film Festival, winning the Best Actor Award ex aequo with Javier Bardem.Thanks to the movie La nostra vita he also won the Nastro d’Argento and the David di Donatello Awards for Best Actor in a leading role. Giovanni Veronesi comincia la sua carriera come attore nel 1983 nel film di Pupi Avati “Una gita sco-lastica”, poi passa alla sceneggiatura al servizio di Francesco Nuti e affiancan-do Vincenzo Cerami. Nel 1987 decide di investirsi lui stesso regista e dirige il suo primo film “Marameo”. Da quest’anno fino al 1993, tornerà però a occuparsi di sceneggiatura, fir-mando “Vacanze di Natale” ’91 e Anni ’90 (1992). Sul set fa la conoscenza dell’attore Christian De Sica per il quale scriverà “Uomini uomini uomini” e “Tre”. Riceve il David di Donatello per la migliore sceneggiatura nel 1993, dopo aver diretto Pe-nelope Cruz e Diego Abatantuono nel religioso “Per amore solo per amore”, che affronta la natività sotto gli occhi di San Giuseppe. Diventato grande amico e collaboratore di Leo-nardo Pieraccioni, scriverà per lui le commedie romantiche che saranno i maggiori successi cinematografici italiani tra cui “I laureati”, “Il ciclone”. La sua filmografia da regista continua con “Silenzio si nasce” con Paolo Rossi e Sergio Castellitto, poi trasforma la dark lady del cinema italiano Asia Argento in una comicissima attrice in “Viola bacia tutti”. Fidanzato dell’at-trice Valeria Solarino, sceneggiatore per Verdone “C’era un cinese in coma” e produttore della pellicola di Alessandro Piva “Mio cognato”, sbanca i botteghini di mezza Italia con “Che ne sarà di noi”, seguito dal suo capolavoro, la commedia rosa “Manuale d’amore”, per il quale vincerà il Nastro d’Argento per la migliore sceneggia-tura. Il suo sequel “Manuale d’amore 2” – Capitoli successivi dipinge gli italiani come un popolo di romantici amatori, ma il Manuale non finisce qui: nel 2011 arri-va “Manuale d’amore 3”, che vede la partecipazione di Robert De Niro. Sempre di italiani si parla in “Italians”, film diviso in due episodi con protagonisti Riccardo Scamarcio e Sergio Ca-stellitto nel primo, e Carlo Verdone e Ksenia Rappoport nel secondo. Nel 2013 apre fuori concorso il Festival del Film di Roma col suo ritratto dell’Italia dagli anni ’60 ai ’90 di “L’ultima ruota del carro”, con Elio Germano protagonista, e l’anno suc-cessivo torna alla commedia con “Una donna per amica”, con Fabio De Luigi e Laetitia Casta come protagonisti.

Giovanni Veronesi started his career as an actor in 1983 in Pupi Avati’s movie Una gita scolastica but suddenly turned into a screenplayer working for Francesco Nuti and teaming up with Vin-cenzo Cerami. His first screenplays are : Tutta colpa del paradiso (1985), Stregati (1987), Caruso Paskoski di padre polacco (1988). In 1987 he directed his first own movie Marameo, starring Novello Novelli and Vanessa Gravina. From 1987 to 1993 he worked again as screenplayer writing the first “cinepanettoni” (a comic movie re-leased at Christmas time) ever: Vacanze di Natale ’91 (1991) and Anni ’90 (1992). In 1993 he received his first David di Donatello Award for the Best Screenplay with Per amore solo per amore, a movie on the Holy Nativity from St. Joseph’s point of view starring Penelope Cruz and Diego Abatantuono who was also starred in Il barbiere di Rio (1996). Since his great friendship with Loren-zo Pieraccioni, he wrote for him the screenplays of many Italian successful romantic comedies such as I laureati (1995), Il ciclone (1996). His career as director was enriched with new movies such as Silenzio si nasce (1996) with Paolo Rossi and Sergio Castellitto, and Viola bacia tutti (1998) in which the dark lady of cinema Asia Argento played a very comic role. Engaged to the actress Valeria Solarino, Veronesi wrote the screenplay for Carlo Verdone’s movie C’era un cinese in coma (2000) and produced Alessandro Piva’s film Mio cognato (2003). He achieved a huge success at the box office with his own movie Che ne sarà di noi (2004) , Manuale d’a-more (2005) thanks to which he won the Nastro Argento Award for the Best Screenplay, Manuale d’amore 2 - Capitoli successivi (2007) and Manuale d’amore 3 with the featuring of Robert De Niro; all of them show Italian people as romantic lovers. But it is not the only movie about them: Italians is another one divided into two episodes , starring Riccardo Scamarcio and Sergio Castellitto in the first one and Carlo Verdone and Ksenia Rappaport in the second one. He opened up the Rome Film Festival 2013 with the out contest movie L’ultima ruota del carro, a portrait of Italy from 60s to 90s with Elio Germanio as leading actor. The next year he made the movie Una donna per amica with Fabio De Luigi and Laetitia Casta.

Silvia Scola ha esordito con un cortometraggio per la regia di Francesca Archibugi, “Il vestito più bello”. Da allora ha scritto vari testi di TV-movie, fino al debutto cinematogra-fico nel 1989 in “Che ora è?,” di Ettore Scola (vincitore del Premio OCIC al Festival di Venezia), seguito dal trattamento di “Capitan Fracassa”, Mario Maria e Mario, Romanzo di un giovane povero (vincitore Grolla d’Oro e Premio Cinema Giovane migliore sceneggiatura), La cena (vincitore Grolla d’Oro migliore sceneggiatura), Concorrenza sleale (vincitore Pegaso d’Oro migliore sceneggiatura), e Gente di Roma di Ettore Scola. E’ Vice presidente dell’Anca e nel 2015 e vince il Nastro D’Argento del film di Nicola Ragone Sonderkom-mando scritto da lei e il regista.

Giunti alla meta la si-tuazione separa i loro destini: il più robusto viene scelto, designato per diventare bracciante della morte in un lager nazista, un Sonderkommando.

A train, a journey, a destination. Two strangers. Their eyes meet. They search for each other getting closer in the crowd of the crumbling wagon where it’s cold and suffering people say go-odbye forever. Sinossi / SynopsisSullo sfondo di una Taranto provata dall’inquinamento e dall’in-certezza per il futuro, Michele, 14 anni, va in giro leggero a passo di musica, ballando come il suo idolo, Michael Jackson. Quando suo padre gli comunica che non potrà accompagnarlo al pro-vino a causa di una mobilitazione di fabbrica, a Michele crolla il mondo addosso. Il sogno di un ragazzino, però, può essere più forte delle difficoltà degli adulti. E proprio grazie a Michele e al suo desiderio, la questione degli operai di Taranto risalterà agli occhi tutti, in un incredibile girotondo finale sulle note di Thriller.

In the polluted city of Taranto where the future is uncertain, Michele 14 years old goes around dancing to the beat of music as his idol Michael Jackson does. When his father tells him he won’t go with him at his audition because of the factory mobilization, Michele feels overwhelmed. But sometimes it happens that a young boy’s dream can be stronger than adults’ problems. Actually, thanks to Mi-chele and his desire, the issue of the factory workers will be before everyone’s very eyes. Final scene on the notes of Thriller.

P-stories, Pisticci città narrante.Sono state installate di recente per le strade di Pisticci le trac-ce urbane, uno dei prodotti di P-stories, un progetto di auto-narrazione territoriale pensato per stimolare la partecipazio-ne, la collaborazione e la condivisione di conoscenze legate al territorio da parte della comunit‡ di cittadini, finanziato nellíambito del progetto regionale di Visioni Urbane e curato dall’associazione culturale Allelammie di Pisticci, insieme ad al-tri partner italiani e stranieri. Dopo la fase di ricerca sul campo sono state raccolte settanta storie, quattordici delle quali sono state geolocalizzate fisicamente in alcune location di Pisticci e di Marconia oltre che sulla mappa interattiva online sul sito ufficiale www.pstories.it. Si tratta di pannelli interattivi muniti di codici qr (mobtag) e di tecnologia nfc (near field communi-cation) in grado di poter essere decodificati da chiunque con applicazioni gratuite per smartphone.P-stories, Pisticci- telling city Urban Traces have recently been installed on the streets of Pisticci.

This is one of the products of P-stories, a territorial self-storytel-ling project, thought to stimulate participation, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge related to the territory by its community of citizens, funded under the regional project of Visioni Urbane and edited by Pisticci’s cultural association Allelammie, along with other Italian and foreign partners. After the field research phase, seventy stories were collected, fourteen of which were physically georeferenced in some locations in Pisticci and Marconia, both on the official online website www.pstories.it and on the interactive map. This map consists of interactive panels provided with qr co-des (mobtag) and NFC (near field communication)technology, so that they can be decoded by anyone with free smart phones apps.
