What makes MEISTER MEISTER - Philosophy

In 1930 my father began a carpentry shop in Meiste, Germany. His inventiveness and high expectations of the quality of craftsmanship in his products were the seed from which our present-day company developed. A few growth rings later we now offer comprehensive product systems for floors, walls and ceilings. We are firmly rooted in our market. And we continue to be guided by my father's principles, such as respect for our natural resources - for example at MEISTER we never use tropical woods. And we take care to preserve resources in the processing of the materials.

Added to this is the responsibility we feel for the place where we work. MEISTER's production is one hundred percent German. For decades we have been the dependable workplace for many families in our region. And we are investing in the future with apprenticeships and

professional development, new production techniques and continuous improvement in our product range. These are yet more reasons why we have grown so consistently and so continuously.

Our decades of experience and this special sense of responsibility result in products which combine the highest quality, best comfort levels and a good conscience. We all trust in this here at MEISTER. And you can trust in it when you use a MEISTER product in your home.

When, in the future, I hand over responsibility for the company to my son and my long-standing colleagues I know that they will continue to develop the company and I can be sure that they will continue to breathe new life into my father's principles.

Planks with the right format.Long planks have always created a generous and refined impression in a room.

Our PD 550 parquet flooring underlines this strongly; with a length of over four

metres and selected oak surfaces this floor looks truly expansive. A great deal

of work goes into producing the planks and their authentic oiled surfaces. Their

special bevelled edges produce a visually appealing and extremely natural

character.

Naturally oiled - Weartec Nature

The new, naturally oiled surfaces on our parquet flooring are based on natural oils and waxes. Weartec Nature penetrates deep into the wood and forms a protective, breathable surface. This form of finishing creates a natural appearance with subtle sheen, emphasises the grain and structure, has a moisture-regulating effect and ensures a healthy atmosphere in the room. All parquet floors with Weartec Nature surfaces are treated ready for residential use and there is no need to apply oil after installation. Naturally oiled surfaces do require regular care, however, to lend the floor a natural patina and ensure extraordinary durability. If required, oil can be reapplied or touched up without sanding the floor.

UV-hardened oil surface protection

Our UV-hardened oil brings out the best in many types of wood. It gives them a warm, natural radiance. The Weartec surface is applied at the factory and is a high-quality UV-hardened oil surface with a special basic treatment. The floor is treated ready for residential use and is easy to maintain, just like a varnished parquet floor, and therefore will not need to be re-oiled.

Natural matt varnish seal

The natural matt varnish seal Duratec Plus on our parquet flooring is particularly durable, easy to maintain and naturally kind to the environment as it is solvent-free. The Plus stands for a variation on our seven-layer Duratec varnish composition. The mixture of varnishes in the individual layers and the order in which they are applied take account of the fact that parquet floors may be sanded. Each element in the composition consists of formaldehyde-free, UV-hardened and ecologically sound acrylic varnish. All of this means that Duratec Plus provides an easy-care and long-life surface for parquet floors.

What makes MEISTER MEISTER – Innovation

"Why MEIS TER sometimes thinks outside the box."

MEISTER's list of innovations is long. Over 200 registered patents and registered designs demonstrate how good we are at coming up with new ideas. We invented the integrated sound-absorbing cushion and thus quiet flooring. The HDF middle layer gives our floors more stability and helps to preserve valuable stocks of real wood. The Masterclic Plus installation technology with patented end locking system makes it possible to carry out simple floating installations of our floors without full surface bonding. All of this has set the standard for the whole sector.

But this is not enough for us. Our inventive spirit never sleeps. This, too, is a part of our company's long tradition. Innovation means doing old things in new ways. This is what I demand when developing new products, new systems and new designs. If we want to stay as we are, we have to constantly change.

Sometimes a very simple idea is all it takes: for example, we wanted to provide an extra-long laminate plank with no repetition in the decor. This is the only way that they can look absolutely genuine and nevertheless be affordable for a large number of customers. With the ordinary print layouts, however, this could not be done. Others may have been satisfied with this. We simply changed from printing lengthways to crossways.

Why are we always thinking of something new? Because we have a particularly creative and well-trained team. Because we are never satisfied with the first solution that comes to mind. Because we think outside the box in order to develop new ideas. Because we trust in our own abilities and because we love our products.

Bold design is the trend.Distinctive woods and vibrant flooring layouts really catch the eye. The

floors in this collection, with their unique and very lively look, are perfectly

suited for individual floor design. Fineline is made up of many narrow strips

laid side by side and once laid the floor is unmistakable. The end grain planks

with their characteristic wood grain provide striking accents and are also

enormously durable due to the particular way in which they are produced.

Veneer flooring can really stand up to a thing or two. Our collection proves this

again and again in laboratory tests as well as in everyday use. A particularly stable

HDF middle layer in combination with a thin layer of genuine wood veneer makes

the planks extremely impact-resistant. This wear layer also helps us to keep down

material usage and means that we can include precious woods in the collection.

Each element in the varnish composition consists of formaldehyde-free, UV-hardened and ecologically sound acrylic varnish. Product structure | HDF middle layer

A particular quality feature in all MEISTER parquet and veneer floors is the specially bonded HDF middle layer.

HDF stands for high-density fibreboard. The most important component is hardwoods such as oak or beech.

Softwoods such as pine and spruce are added because their natural resins promote bonding of the fibres in

the board once compressed. Selected adhesives ensure maximum bonding. This HDF board has a great many

technical advantages.

Seven advantages of HDF parquet

The MEISTER product concept is based on an HDF middle layer.

| It stabilises the wear layer, increasing the impact resistance.

| It reduces room noise because HDF is twice as dense as a spruce middle layer.

| It‘s easy to click together due to its precision-fi t side and end connections.

Flooring with character.Characteristics such as structure, colour, surface treatment and finish create a variety of

flooring looks and make a major contribution to the overall impression of a room.

Depending on the combination, a peaceful feel or rustic appearance can be created.

Harmonious

The natural mix makes all the difference: for the “harmonious” grading, we select fine woods with a restful look and balanced, natural colouring. They do not contain many knots or much sapwood or brownwood.

Lively

In this grading, we specifically offer surfaces with strong colouring and structure which emphasise the natural character of the wood. Healthy knots, sapwood and brownwood are part of the overall lively look. Broken knots are professionally repaired.

Distinctive

Fascinating colouring and structure emphasise the distinctive character of the flooring surface. High proportions of sapwood and brownwood create the boldly expressive look.

Parquet and veneer fl ooring are natural products. Differences in colour and structure are therefore an expression of their authenticity. Wood typically changes its colour when subjected to direct sunshine. Depending on the intensity and amount of light exposure, light woods become darker or take on a yellow tinge. Darker woods become lighter.

Variety is built-in.MEISTER offers three different strip looks which, in combination with selected woods and a variety

of surface treatments, provide great freedom of design. The very hard-wearing end grain wood with

its distinctive look and Fineline with its vibrant appearance create very special effects across the

laid floor.

1-strip

1-strip planks give a generous and expansive appearance.The surface is made up of one piece of real wood throughout. Depending on the wood and grading chosen the result ranges from rustic to elegant.

2-strip

Striking surfaces such as heartwood walnut or plum are particularly effective in the 2-strip look. They radiate elegance and expansiveness.

3-strip

This look is made up of three rows of strips per plank. The fascinating colour combinations mean that these floors work beautifully with the widest variety of interior design styles.

End grain wood

To produce end grain wood floors, tree trunks are cut across the direction of growth so that the growth rings are visible. This technique ensures a particularly hard-wearing floor. End grain wood provides a unique, unmistakable look which is perfectly suited for individual interior design.

Fineline

This parquet has become an almost essential part of modern architecture with its characteristic look. Fineline consists of numerous narrow strips of wood laid side by side on one plank.

Broad Fineline

In this version of Fineline, strips of wood approx. two centimetres wide run along the entire length of the plank. This produces a particularly uniform look once laid.

Colour-treated wood

Some surfaces, such as white beech, white oak, old grey oak and white ash are produced with pigmented varnishes or oils. This gives the planks their particular colouration and at the same time the natural structure of the wood is retained. As with liming, the surface is given a final coat of natural oil, UV-hardened oil or natural matt varnish.

Smoked wood

Smoking causes the tannic acid in the wood to react so that its colour is permanently altered, deep down. Oak turns brown to dark brown-black, Douglas fir turns light brown to red-brown. Each plank has a different tannic acid content which leads to interesting colour differences on each individual plank - firm evidence that you have a piece of living nature.

Brushed wood

Brushing the wood's surface opens the pores of the wood and at the same time brings out its natural structure. Each plank has its own individual look and a relief is created which lends the floor character. An ideal basis for modern or rustic design styles.

Limed wood

Liming emphasises the grain of the wood and gives it an attractive surface. After brushing, a lime paste is applied. Once this has dried the excess is removed and the surface is coated with natural oil, UV-hardened oil or natural matt varnish. Oak is particularly suitable for liming due to its large pores.

Used look

This surface finish gives the parquet floor an antique appearance. The planks are given a variety of looks and appear naturally aged through the application of the latest technology and laborious hand finishing.

Woodworm look

Our parquet floors with woodworm look surfaces are particularly unusual. Hundreds of little one to two millimetre holes give the impression of woodworm attack but of course the impression is merely visual.

Saw-cut structure

For parquet flooring in saw-cut look, saw cuts run against the grain. They can be clearly seen and felt and gain additional emphasis from the matt-gloss surface finish.

Natural wood

The character of selected woods comes into its own even without finishing processes. Many MEISTER parquet floors are therefore simply oiled or varnished. The homely result is wood in its natural form.

Simple, quick and secure – Masterclic Plus.Simple, quick and secure installation – this applies to all of our parquet and veneer flooring.

Apart from the extremely long PD 550 collection planks, which have to be bonded at the

ends for stability reasons, all of our floors can be laid without using adhesive. Click systems,

optimised for each floor‘s characteristics and each plank‘s dimensions, cater for great ease

of installation. These include our own patented innovation, Masterclic Plus, allowing you to

enjoy your floor right from the installation process.

The proven pre-tension system ensures a lasting, secure joint lock on long and short sides (in PS 400 and FS 200 S collections). In many of our collections we have replaced the Uniclic connection on the short side with our own Masterclic Plus or Masterclic.

This click technology is used on the short sides of the parquet collection PS 350. It makes installation simpler and gives a long-lasting and secure connection between planks.

Masterclic Plus end connection

The unique combination of the non-adhesive Masterclic Plus click system: | There are no protruding, difficult-to-handle tongues at the ends

which could lead to an opening of a joint when lowering the plank. | In contrast to the common “fold-down” laying methods, the ends

do not lock in the moment the plank is laid. | As soon as the next row of planks is laid, the Masterclic Plus click

system is activated and its fixings lock automatically. | The specially developed and patented profile

geometry with height and side levelling secures the exact end positioning of the planks. This creates a pre-tension which ensures a durable joint lock.

| When disassembling the flooring, the Masterclic Plus connection can easily be pivoted out.

The flooring is lowered right next to the neighbouring plank.

The tongue is only activated when the next row is laid.

After lowering, the flooring is not yet locked at the ends.

This results in a secure connection.

To disassemble the flooring, the locked row is lifted and levered out. The end connection can be unlocked by levering it out.

This skirting board, with its modern square-edged shape, is available in 16 different colours. Skirting boards with primer film coating can be painted in any colour you like.

Hamburg skirting boards

The traditional white “Hamburg” skirting board is mainly found in old buildings, but its profile provides a generous effect in modern surroundings too. We supply it in four profile heights: 60mm (Profile 10 PK), 80mm (Profile 11 PK), 100mm (Profile 12 PK) and 120mm (Profile 13 PK). Each can be used with any of our laminate floors. Moulding clips are popular simply because they are so practical. The mouldings can simply be clipped on and don't have to be nailed down - and they offer space to hide cables. Radiator rosettes, real wood

A radiator rosette can reliably cover up the expansion gap between the flooring and the radiator pipe. They are simply clipped around the radiator pipe.

Door stoppers

Requiring only an 8mm-deep screw hole and with its special angled design, this discrete door stopper secures all doors without locking the floating floor installation. This avoids undesirable tension.

Clip-on profiles

With these clip-on profiles, you can create flowing floor transitions with no visible screws. The profiles are available in five real wood veneers as well as one cork and two metal surfaces.

“Flexo” clip-on transition profile

With its especially broad bottom profile, the new clip-on transition profile “Flexo” can be securely fitted to the sub-floor. Thanks to its patented swivel joint design, it adapts precisely to the height and angle of different flooring heights and absorbs movement from neighbouring floor coverings without ratcheting. This system guarantees simple fitting and removal of the covering profile. There are 41 decors to choose from, designed to match the laminate floor collections LD 300 | 20 Melango, LD 200 and LS 300, as well as three metal surfaces.

LED recessed light

Our FLAT recessed lights really shine with their compact size and only 7mm installation depth. The FLAT mini is so small that it can be installed in a clip-on skirting board. Four easily interchangeable colour films provide variety and are also suitable for printed designs such as logos. You can operate 20 FLAT or ECO lights connected in series from one transformer. There is easily enough space for this in an existing recessed socket and no extra drilling is required.
